If you believe the scriptures aren’t sufficient for salvation then you believe every one of these scriptures is a lie: And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness. - Romans 4:5 Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. - Galatians 2:16 And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith. - Philippians 3:9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8 He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. - Titus 3:5 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” - John 6:28 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith. - Galatians 3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. - Romans 10:3

@@JC-li8kk Any contradictions here? Of course not! The Catholic Church has always taught that salvation is given to us through God's grace, which lead us to have faith and do good works. Faith and good works and intrinsically related to each other. That's what Jesus teaches us in the Gospels, and more clearly what saint James exhorts us to do: "So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."James 2:17 Let's just see more more biblical examples that the protestant doctrine of Sola Scriptura is no biblical: "...Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. [35] For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in..." Matthew, 25:34-40 "...And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me to give to every one according to his work.” Revelation 22:12. Your attempt to find a confliction and contradiction between saint Paul and saint James is a disaster and only shows how far protestants can go in their heretic doctrines. Now have a look at the following biblical verses and take your conclusions. Can you spot any good works in these verses? "...How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation?..." James, 2:14 "...You see now that it is by deeds, and not only by believing, that someone is justified..." James, 2:24 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments."John 14:15 "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works"Heb. 10:24 "By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples."John 15:8 "The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people."Titus 3:8 "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do."Heb. 6:10 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."2 Tim. 3:16-17 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." ... "By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."John 15:1-5, 8-11 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."2 Cor. 5:10 "They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work."Titus 1:16 "Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Cor 16:14 "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."James 4:17 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’Matt. 7:21-23 "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." Phil. 2:12-13 "So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."James 2:17 "And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done."Rev. 20:13 "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."Col. 1:9-10 "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you."John 15:16

Small c or C [c]atholic? Roman Catholics focus on Idols of Mary Mother of [G]od and other idols of so called Saints. The Roman Catholics' plan of salvation is not biblical. It is based on works and trying to aid God when he needs no help. The Roman Catholics teach you must earn grace and that you can lose grace.

@@devere1299 it seems to me you know nothing about the Catholic doctrine. In fact, your words are Just repetition of ignorant protestant false accusations. I suggest you read the Cathechism of the Church before writing nonsenses here. The Catholic Church has always taught that salvation is through God's Grace. However, faith and good works are intrinsecally connected, and this is very clear in the bible. "Come you who are blessed by my father, take your inheritance..." "...For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink...". And it is also very clear in the book of James: "...Faith without good works are dead..." Note: the doctrine of communion and veneration of saints is not only Roman Catholic. It is also adopted by the Eastern Catholic Churches and the Orthodox Churches as well. All these Churches are apostolic Churches. As for protestants, they only began to appear in the XVI century. Far beyond the beginning of Christianity...

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 ESV For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever they have no more share in all that is done under the sun.

In the Original Greek in Mark 11:24, Jesus commands His apostles to believe that they already received when they pray. In 2016, six specialists told my mother that she needed a pacemaker. She was so weak that she could only walk 20 feet in 10 minutes, and then had to sit down and rest. I shared Mark 11:24 with my mother. We prayed in the name of Jesus and then my mother praised God that she was already healed. The next day she walked a mile to go get her groceries, completely normal. She never did need a pacemaker. Just days before, she was so weak that she was hospitalized for 10 days. My neighbor was sent home to die because he was so low on the list for a kidney transplant. He was bedridden. We prayed the same way and he rose up completely normal the next day. He stood out in the front yard and stopped all the neighbors and told them what happened. I could go on and on for hours telling you about several neighbors and several relatives that received this way. God confirms His Word with signs (Mark 16:20), the problem is that too many are using vain repetitions which Jesus said were vain in Matthew 6:7. Also it is the prayer of FAITH that heals the sick in James 5:15, not just prayer. Faith is based on the Bible. Since 99% of Churches do NOT teach on healing, 99% of Churches cannot pray the prayer of Faith to receive healing. I didn't believe in Faith Healing, I believed: 1) God is Sovereign 2) God is all Powerful 3) God is in Control 4) God can do whatever He wants 5) God has a purpose a plan and a time for everything 6) God knows what you are suffering. 7) In His time He will heal you. Mark 6:5-6 and James 1:5-7 completely changed what I believed. In Mark 6:5, Jesus wanted to heal but could not because of their unbelief. James 1:5-7 shows not to think that you will receive if you doubt. How can you believe when the church is telling you that God does not heal today? You cannot. 1 Timothy 2:5, " For there is one mediator between God and Man - the man Christ Jesus." One, not 2 (Not Mary), not many (Praying to saints). John 14:6, "Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me." Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Mary has no authority in heaven. Zero. If she did, then James 1:5-7 would be a lie. James 1:5-7 and Mark 6:5-6 upended my false beliefs that God could do anything he wants. In Mark 6:5, Jesus wanted to heal, but COULD not because of their unbelief. Matthew 6:7 says to not pray with vain repetitions. Saying the rosary is vain. My Aunt said that she prayed to Mary for 60 years and where did it get her? With tears in her eyes she said 22 operations and now she does not believe in God. She said, "I had my first operation at age 22." John 16:23 says to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. To pray some other way is unbelief, rebellion, and yes, inspired of the enemy. I was so Catholic and I heard so much criticism from my Christian friends that I decided to do my own survey. I asked many Catholics if they believed that Jesus died for their sins. God is my witness, many said, “No, I believe in the Virgin of Guadalupe, she appears to the poor and she loves the poor.” Startled, I questioned them again and they told me the same thing. My mother had an uncle in the Catholic Church who was a bishop and they know better. They should not let people go to hell for idolatry. They should teach the truth. If the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared, then it must be the devil because II Corinthians 11:14 says so. It is the only verse that covers the topic. Don;t be deceived.

@@MrAlanKendalleven though im not good in English but at least i can tell you that the Catholic church teachings and the cathechism brought me out of drugs, out of fake holy spirit, fake speaking in tounges. and pretending miracles, and false testimony.i find it hard to believe how you prayed the rosary? I pray the rosary believing that mary can ask his beloved for my sake like in cana at the wedding, and I get blessing's because of respecting the blessed virgin believing that she is full of grace. My friend you cannot be a Christian because of bible alone, or bible verse alone, that was the problem of Martin Luther and that is very wrong. Many protestants and born again have made Christianity hard in islamic countries why ? because muslims sees them has people doing business they claim to heal,to give life to the dead which is like comedy they have never gone to hospital and make those miracles or mortuary to raise the dead. So to me catholism is the best we pray to mary not because she is God but because she is close to him she is filled with the holy spirit. If you moved from the church then its because you didn't give time to your self learning catholism and understanding the Church history.

Missing the forest for the trees. There's nothing wrong with doctrines and traditions.... If they don't contradict the gospel of course, that's where the Roman Catholic Church fails. When we say "that is not biblical" it means that the doctrine you're teaching contradicts the gospel. The main one is how we get salvation. The bible clearly states that we get save by grace through faith. Is clearly stated that if is its by works grace is no longer grace. Catholism waters down the sacrifice of Jesus and what that sacrifice accomplish to the point of blasphemy.

An example of Bible alone is the interpretation of "speaking in tongues". Without guided interpretation from a thousand year tradition people end up concluding this means babbling incoherently speaking the voice of angels. When the Bible mentioned the apostles speaking in tongues it means they were blessed by the holy spirit to allow them to speak in other languages (tongues) in order to spread the good news. Unfortunately this errant interpretation have us now people babbling and chittering believing this is the way to salvation.

Keep in mind the thief did not have time to get baptized with water or receive sacraments or do penance or say Hail Mary’s or our fathers. He was a sinner and in need of a Savior. What did Jesus say to him again? He said this day!! He said again this day you shall be with me in paradise!!! He did not say someday son after you served your time in purgatory. I rest my case

Christ hadn’t died yet, so he didn’t have to be baptized. Boom. Jesus literally commanded us to be baptized. He was still under the Old Law. We are bound by the Sacraments. God is not. Baptism washes away the stain of original sin. Baptism isn’t some “Optional, outward showing of an inward faith” as Brother Jim might tell you. I was Protestant for 15 YRS. Our elders and Bible teacher expound on the scriptures. However, we do have to answer questions on a questionsheet in the discussion group class in person and online at present. We look up the answers ourselves during the week so we do have to make private interpretations on the Bible at times. Our Bible teacher is a facilitator not a person with the only opinion on scripture though he does add his opinion based on scripture sometimes. He realizes he is not perfect nor infallible. We often read through the verses mentioned at Chudh on Sundays also and can ask questions by email or text if necessary. However, we do read the scripture for ourselves a chapter at a time every or most nights. We are all part of the royal priesthood in the order of Melchezidech forever. Naturally we need godly men to help and guide us to understand scripture, but we are also to search the scriptures with a concordance or study tools for ourselves. We are going through 3 different books a portion at a time with three different preachers at Church on Sundays Matthew, Samuel and James.

@M J 2 Thessalonians 2:15 says, "So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter." This pretty explicitly says that not everything the Apostles taught was written down. They said some important things too. Jesus and His Apostles refer several times to things that happened in Old Testament times, but that aren't actually written in any OT Scriptures, so clearly Jesus and His Disciples understood the symbiotic relationship between the Scriptures and oral traditions. But here's the thing that topples your entire house of cards: I don't have to use the Bible to show where extra-Biblical teachings are valid. I can, and I just did, but I don't have to. You, only the other hand, do have to be able to use the Bible to show where the Bible says that only the Bible has God-given truth in it. That's your burden because you give the Bible Supreme authority. But you'll never be able to meet that burden because the Bible never says that. The Bible Alone philosophy is self refuting

That for the Catholic Church to promote good works is somehow evil. Catholics believe that we are sanctified, that we increase in holiness, as we do good works. Why would any Protestant say that we should not seek to increase in holiness, that we should no seek to model and mold ourselves to being more like Jesus, more like Mary, more like those Saints who have lived holy lives? Isn't Christians failure to do good works Satan's goal? If he can disconnect our words from our actions he knows that we will begin to blend in with the culture around us.

It's like saying the government will make amendments and set laws for the people to follow just because everyone cannot participate. This is SHIT. For the sake of the bible, everyone needs to interpret it and one whose points are clear and make more sense will get the majority support on what is right or wrong from the bible. Giving all powers to a small group of people to decide for the majority will mislead. Interprete it in your own way, Present your points and arguments to the people then one with the majority votes will decide but NEVER give powers to a group of people without participating. He fails to show why he rejects The Lord's Prayer and all of Jesus' teachings on prayer (Pray to The Father in the name of Jesus) in favor of praying to Mary and Saints. Mullet Mayhem TRADITION and TRUTH In Colossians 2, Paul tells us to “see to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ” (Colossians 2:8). Tradition never outranks truth. Sure, some may call a certain view “Christian tradition” or certain idea a Christian “principle” or “rule.” But we should not worship at the feet of traditions, principles, or rules. Instead, we worship Jesus, who is the truth. We don’t need principles. We need the person of Christ. Christianity is not about rules. It’s about letting Christ rule. We should not be suckers for the sales pitch of tradition when it clashes with the simple message of the cross and the resurrection. Don’t ever buy the idea that a belief is correct just because it’s old. We are as capable today of understanding God’s Word and of being taught by the Holy Spirit as anyone else in history, including the early church fathers. How we are taught? By submitting to God’s Spirit and asking Him to teach us. We don’t need “ism.” We don’t need to follow along denominational lines. We don’t need to worry about being labeled or categorized as part of a movement. We simply need the Holy Spirit to enlighten us to the finished work of the cross, the power of resurrection, and what it means for us to walk in newness of life. 🙏❤️

The Supreme Court analogy is actually the best argument against the Magesterium. We can look at the Constitution and it is obvious there is no such "right to privacy" and this was invented by the court to allow the murder of babies on the womb. Look at the horrid Dred Scott decision, and more. Instead, one with a conscience can look at the constitution and see how those decisions were great perversions, and live against them, lobbying for there to be a correction, just like the Reformers of the Reformation did with the Scriptures and the state of the Church at that time.

🤔Why do Catholics call priests father, when Jesus says call no man your father on earth (Mt. 23:9)?😳

  • @econs999

    @econs999

    5 жыл бұрын

FROM DA HOOD TA DA WOODZ Firstly, look at Matt 23:9 again. Notice Jesus said "call no man *_your_* father..." So, a Catholic who was visited by a priest while he was sick, will not say " *_my_* father, John, visited me yesterday when I was sick", but "father John visited me yesterday when I was sick". Secondly, if we misinterpret the intention behind Jesus' words, then you and I should logically also not address the men who fathered us "father" but "Mr Smith; Mr Mott"? Thirdly, if Matt 23:9 forbids calling any man 'father' then the Church's first martyr, Stephen, sinned for this is how he addressed the Pharisees/Scribes: “Brothers and *fathers* , listen to me! " Acts 7:2 So my point is this: we should always seek the meaning *intended* by a given verse or words spoken by a person (eg Jesus); sometimes the intended meaning of the verse coincides with the literal meaning of the verse; but sometimes not. This is one case where it is 'not'; a case where we shouldn't take the literal meaning of the verse. So, what was Jesus' intended meaning then? He was getting at fatherhood in the spiritual sense. As one source noted: 'if we honour the father of lies, the Evil One is our father; if we honour God, He is our Father" And as for priests, Catholics call them 'fathers' as an acknowledgement that they are our spiritual fathers as they 'begot' us into the fold of the Church through baptism, making us adopted children of God. And furthermore, to acknowledge the fact that priests feed us with the sacraments of the Church (eg Eucharist, Confession, etc), so that we are constantly renewed to keep going on in our journey to our eventual heavenly home. See www.catholiceducation.org/en/religion-and-philosophy/apologetics/call-no-man-father-understanding-matthew-23-9.html Hope the above helps. Peace

Because it's bad translation from ancient greek. The term that is used in greek text should be translated rather like Myfather or something like that. This term was used not to refer to someone's father, but rather to king or emperor, or to pagan gods. Evangelist is trying to say, that this term (Myfather) should be used only when refering to God, because only He deserves so much honor and worship as this pronoun contained (and also much more).

There is no such thing as Mary's intercessions or saints, purgatory or confession to priests. If you are searching for truth with your honest heart allow God to lead you and not man, because man errors many times Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart. I'll never understand how Catholics can make the claim that, "the early church did this or that" and then ignore that the Catholic Church of today is nothing like the early church. Roll back everything to the day that Christ ascended up into heaven and you'll find a church that is more protestant than Catholic. There is nothing in the Bible about praying to Mary. If it was such a big deal, Jesus would have said so when He was here. Catholics make it seem that praying to the dead was something that was of huge importance 1,000's of years ago and yet we never see Moses do it, or the prophets or Paul do it. As far as Mary being full of grace...where in the Bible does it say, "Okay, repeat that statement several times over and over again." Is Mary deaf and you have to keep repeating the same thing over and over? Why not just pray to God? If you actually believe that Mary can do something about it then why not just say at the end of your prayer to God, "Oh, Mary, can you tell God what you heard me pray. Just in case God didn't hear me?". Just roll everything back to when Christ went into Heaven and then show how the early church then did everything that the Catholic Church does now. You can't. The early church and the Catholic Church of today are two very different belief systems.

@27foe esxlvx0 , me too! Born into the Catholic faith. Baptized as a babe. Confirmed as a teenager. Spent 12 years in Catholic school. Funnily enough, Catholics never read the Bible, only in church. That's because they need someone else to interpret it for them. I left Catholic school thinking that there were many roads to God, not just Yeshua. I entered college a wicked sinner who thought I was a godly person. I couldn't have been more wrong. I spent the next few years racking up sins. Shortly after college, I went looking for the Truth. I didn't know at the time that Truth had a name. It's Yeshua. Praise Him! He called me out of the church. I will never forget the moment I was born again. I never knew what it meant, until then. In a instant everything I believed changed. Everything I thought was true was revealed as a lie. I had never felt the presence of God until that moment. I was alone in my car, and I just knew that Yeshua was the only way! The Holy Spirit came into my heart, and I have never been the same. I don't think it's possible for Catholics to be born again, and still be Catholic. Born again means you change. Everything you believe is revealed as a lie, and you realize only Yeshua is Truth. Catholics think they're the only ones with the truth, so I don't think as a whole they will humble themselves. Just an opinion. Looking back, it really makes me upset that catholicism claims to hold the keys to heaven, yet not a single Catholic knows where they will end up. If catholicism holds the keys to heaven, why won't they tell their congregants how to get there? I do think it's funny that the priest admitted: "everything one needs for salvation can be found in Scripture." Yup! So why would anyone need the Catholic church? Do Catholics really believe that a church that is a political power, and has spent centuries murdering people and molesting children, mostly boys, is the church God chose for His own? Catholic means universal. God's church isn't a denomination. It's the true followers of Yeshua all over the world.

For the record I agree that both scripture and historical tradition should be taken into account, the Greek Orthodox probably felt the same way before the Schism. Thanks for the video. I am a Protestant & respect Catholics as brothers and sisters in Christ! Grew up catholic and my mother is still a practicing one. Just wanted to say some things! You left out some important parts. Luther developed the idea “sola scriptura” (and other ideas in his theses) on the basis of perverse power the Catholic Church held over its people. For example. getting them to pay their loved ones out of purgatory, the pope withholding salvation from people, etc. This is why scripture is important. Because if we don’t “test everything” like Paul says in 1 Thess. 5, we develop ideas we believe are truth when they are not. The books that “should” belong in the Bible have been debated for centuries. I trust in the 66 books Luther Reformed because either way, it all points to the gospel. (Which is the most important concept. Period) no one asked, but here is why I’m no longer catholic. * I am not convinced the Pope is the direct descendant of Peter. With that being said, the gates of hell have not prevailed over the church and won’t ever. (Matthew 16) * Catholics killed people who translated the original Latin to other languages. If it weren’t for reformed theologians, we would not have the Bible in English today. * I will not ask saints or Mary to intercede for me when I can directly go to Jesus or someone on earth I’m actually in relationship with. * I don’t believe in transubstantiation even though the I believe the idea and concept is beautiful. Protestants do not take communion as serious as Catholics. & I love the fact that the body and blood is the center of the church in catholic parishes. Protestants must take notes. * Martin Luther never wanted 40,000 denominations. He actually agreed with Catholicism in the big picture (the gospel) But to say the Catholic Church is the “original” church is ignorant. Paul’s letters date to 90AD where people were not considered “Catholics” but brothers and sisters in Christ. They met in houses and were persecuted. Not in cathedrals which are now tourist attractions. Currently reading “Case for Catholicism” by Trent Horn. I really like his apologetics. I will let him convince me. Your comment trying to on KZread probably will not. Lol Final thing: I am a missionary. When someone believes in Jesus and cries out to them asking God to save them, We baptize them, give them a Bible, and begin to disciple them. I don’t say, you have to be catholic because it’s right. To do so is not the heart of God to see everyone in the nations confess He is Lord and have true relationship with him. Catholicism is not the only way. Jesus is the way. The gospel is the way. I trust that. Jesus is King.

@@MrKev1664 I know what purgatory is. Read what I wrote. Luther hated the idea of catholics withholding salvation and telling people to buy their loved ones out of purgatory. Hence, the reformation. He agreed with the gospel. But the Catholic Church became a church of power. Never what Jesus intended. I believe we must be perfect like Jesus says, and if purgatory is what does that, then I trust the Father's process. You attack protestants like we are the enemy. There are lukewarm catholics that will end up in hell by just going through the rituals just like there will be lukewarm protestants in hell for the same thing. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Read Hebrews 11. I believe Jesus just like you my friend, our perspectives and interpretations of scripture are different. God knows what we want before we ask, Matthew 6, so I will pray to my father. Jesus literally says, "pray like this" beginning with "our father." I will pray to the God of the universe alone. We take communion. We eat the "body" and the "blood" of Jesus just like you do. Jesus took bread, and he took wine. Do you not see that Jesus used metaphors in his teachings all the time? That is how I interpret it. Catholic Churches were not the original. It became established as a building and use of power in 325 AD. Jesus' apostles were the original church. I am not open to guidance wherever it comes from because men are sinners and in need of Jesus. I will test everything to the Holy spirit and with scripture. I teach Jesus is the only way to the father. I teach Jesus is the way to salvation. Then I give them SCRIPTURE to test everything in life and to hold fast to. A christian group in China who is persecuted for having church needs a doctrine to believe in, and that is Scripture. Not teachings outside of the bible based on feelings. A group in Africa who lives in a muslim country and will be killed for their faith. Do they need the Catholic Church to be saved? NO. They need the gospel. They need Jesus. They need the Father to save them. Their christian community is for support and for edification of the Father and one another. I challenge you to go to a third world country or even to Europe (where 2% profess relationship with Jesus) and tell me that they need a Catholic Church for salvation. Especially in Europe where Catholicism was enormous, and now promotes a post christian culture. These people need Jesus and his word. (sola scriptura) and for the Father to save them. I preach the gospel and the gospel alone. Good day.

MrKev1664 Sure I’ll share the gospel. Maybe you’ve never heard it. God created everything you see. He created man and called it good. We had a perfect relationship with Yahweh. Yet we turned to our own desires, disobeyed God, and became separated from God. We missed the mark of perfection. Therefore, needed a way to be made right before him. In order to be made right with God we needed to obey the laws God provided and live righteously to be with him. But God, in his mercy, sent his only son, who is also God, to pay for our sins and give us a righteousness not our own and not by our own doing. Jesus, his son, died the death we deserve and fulfilled all of the laws and statues God demanded in the early days of his covenant with man. This covenant that God made with man was complete when he sent his son Jesus to die. This Covenant is an invitation to us now. If we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe that he was raised back to life, then we will have salvation from our sin and from eternal death and separation from God. We will be made whole. Jesus became sin for us, who knew no sin, so that we may become the righteousness of God. God invites us into his original plan of perfection and relationship. But he also invites us to Go and tell all who are separated so that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord and God of all. Amen.

I gave up everything to follow Jesus. That’s where discipleship comes in. I SHOW people how to live once they accept Christ. If you think I’m preaching a false gospel (which I certainly am not) then pray for me that God reveals the truth. I think we are done here. Gods word is final.

The irony is that everyone assumes that what they believe is somehow from scripture, and they are usually correct. However, that doesn't mean scripture actually explicitly states what they believe. Most of the time, specific doctrines are developed from conclusions drawn based either on single verses in isolation of their context, or a cobbling together of several unrelated verses, all of which were lifted from their context. In the end, most of what we believe, whether we're Protestants, Catholics, or whatever, is likely incorrect in some way, because as much as we'd like it to, scripture doesn't speak with one single voice on any given topic.

But I can say grew up so much spiritually spending maximum 15 minutes a day in the bible, I begun by the new testament...I grew up much more doing this these last 5 years than in the rest of my life and I am 42 now. You get the truth, a better understanding of God's law and it becomes easier to accept God's directions on our lives. Honestly I recited so many chapelets in the last 20 years... it didnt bring me no more revelation on God than what I knew already, but everytime I read the bible I grow up spiritually. I find that catholics underestimate the bible that they say they gathered themselves. I discovered the beauty of the bible by actually reading it by myself. It is a whole other experience than listening to small excerpts during the mass.

This is the interpretation of Revelation 4:8 John describes each of the four living creatures as having six wings. His description is reminiscent of Isaiah' description of the seraphim he saw above God's throne (Isaiah 6:2-3). Probably the living creatures, like the seraphim, use two wings to cover the face, two to cover the feet, and two to fly. The living creatures possess multiple eyes, emphasizing their guard duty. Also, they praise God day and night. They sing about God's holiness. Perhaps their threefold repetition of His holiness is intended to extol the holiness of each of the three persons of the Trinity. The Bible refers to the Father as holy (John 17:11), to the Son as holy (Luke 1:35), and to the Spirit as holy (Ephesians 4:30). The living creatures' song of praise also extols God as eternal. They refer to Him as "who was and is and is to come." We, too, ought to praise God for His absolute holiness and eternal existence. There is a distinct difference between vain repetition (rosary) and authentic worship.

Which is very strong..... But other Churces divided themselves from the Universal church, is it good? Sure Catholics have done wrong things along the way, but so did the apostles in their lives, and so did we..... Shouldn't we correct them instead of dividing ourselves? You should know Martin Luther was not a good respectful person of the books of the Bible, he was like a rebel, he took what only clearly stated in Bible and considered that nothing else is needed... Sure may not be mandatory but does it mean it teaches that? It could teach more... I mean the Bible didn't end with short few pages! Did it? So, there is a lot to learn... There are people who cannot be trusted. I have seen people trust more the Thomas Gospel more than the originals, where by the early church fathers never recognized it to be a valid document written by the apostle Thomas, yet he was brainwashed! I wanted to show him evidence but he wouldn't listen. Also he didn't even trust Paul. Lol... And the main shocking thing was that HE CONSIDERED HIMSELF TO BE CHRISTIAN! So check if you have been brainwashed.... Or maybe not... Not necessary. If you would like, you can give me the sources.....

At Antioch, Ignatius was ordained by Paul, and then, at the end of the reign of Evodius, he was appointed bishop of Antioch by Peter. He reigned there for many years before his martyrdom in Rome. On his way to Rome to be martyred, he wrote several letters to fellow Christians in various locations, expounding on Christian theology. He especially emphasized unity among Christians (see John 17) and became known as an Apostolic Father of the Church. In one of his letters (to Christians in Smyrna), he wrote, “Where there is Christ Jesus, there is the Catholic Church.” This is the earliest known written record of the term “Catholic Church” (written around A.D. 107), but Ignatius seemingly used it with the presumption that the Christians of his day were quite familiar with it. In other words, even though his is the earliest known written record of the term, the term likely had been in use for quite some time by then, dating back to the time of the apostles. The term “Catholic Church” (Gk. katholike ekklesia) broadly means “universal assembly,” and Ignatius used it when writing to the Christians of Smyrna as a term of unity. He exhorted these Christians to follow their bishop just as the broader universal assembly of Christians follows Christ. He clearly uses the terms “Christian” and “Catholic Church” distinctly: disciples of Christ are Christians; the universal assembly of Christians is the Catholic Church.

While most Catholic doctrines are grounded in scriptures some practices such as excessive focus on Mary and saints to the extent of entrusting our souls to her/them is troublesome and hard to justify. Most Catholics cannot go beyond the rosary and are dull when it comes to the Word of God. Jesus left us the Holy Sprit (not Mary) because of Whom we are not orphans. As explained by Athanasius of Alexandria, "Let us look at the very tradition, teaching, and faith of the catholic Church from the very beginning, which the Logos gave (edoken), the Apostles preached (ekeryxan), and the Fathers preserved (ephylaxan). Upon this the Church is founded (tethemeliotai)"(St. Athanasius, "First Letter to Serapion", 28)[8] Holy tradition for the Eastern Orthodox is the deposit of faith given by Jesus to the apostles and passed on in the Church from one generation to the next without addition, alteration, or subtraction. Vladimir Lossky described tradition as "the life of the Holy Spirit in the Church."[9] It is dynamic in application yet unchanging in dogma. It is growing in expression yet is always the same in essence. Rather, Orthodox believe tradition is that faith once delivered as understood within the context of lived history. Tradition is a gift of the Holy Spirit, a living experience, which is relived and renewed through time. Fr. Georges Florovsky wrote "Tradition is not a principle striving to restore the past, using the past as a criterion for the present. Such a conception of tradition is rejected by history itself and by the consciousness of the Orthodox Church. Tradition is the constant abiding of the Spirit and not only the memory of words. Tradition is a charismatic, not a historical event". (Florovsky, Georges. "The Catholicity of the Church" in Bible, Church, Tradition, p. 47)[8]

To truely understand the Bible, you should instead do the opposite. Understand it is a series of books often written centuries apart collected into a single volume, that the writer of each had their reasons for writing what they did, and taking the scripture within that context to understand what it was trying to say then, and understand how it can be applied now.

The Scriptures as we have today didn't come from one source (writers). Does it mean then the Holy Spirit dictated it 🤔 If so, why are the differences of contents in the four books of Gospels 🤔 Which means either of them is lying (Holy Spirit or the writers). By the way, the Bible didn't come first. It's the Church whose members wrote the 27 NT books and who DECIDED the books as CANONICAL and fruits of the INSPIRATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. It was only after this that the Jews decided their Canon of the Books and removed the 9 OT books. The separated brothers (protestants) agreed to the books decided by the Jews in the early 16th century. Kindly read the Gospel written by St. Luke 1:1-4 to know the meaning of Tradition.

And who has declared with authority that these books and letters were inspired by God? The successors of the Apostles, the bishops.

WHEN JESUS TOLD PETER “AND UPON THIS ROCK, I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH” JESUS WAS SPEAKING TO PETER ABOUT HIMSELF, NOT ABOUT PETER! MATTHEW 16:18….JESUS, THE ROCK!..NOT PETER! HE WAS TALKING TO PETER ABOUT HIMSELF, WHILE LOOKING AT PETER ! DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT GOD WOULD BUILD HIS CHURCH ON MORTAL MAN ???? [2] IN EVERY CATHOLIC CHURCH, PRAYERS TO MARY AND THE ‘SAINTS” ARE ENCOURGED..YET THIS IS NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE. IN FACT, THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE! JOHN 14:6..WE ARE TO PRAY ONLY TO JESUS, THE FATHER, AND TO THE HOLY SPIRIT..NO WHERE ARE WE TO PRAY TO MEN ! NO WHERE IN OLD OR NEW TESTAMENT!!! THAT IS BLASPHEMY! [3] FOR OVER 100’S OF YEARS, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, PRAYED ONLY IN LATIN, A DEAD LANGUAGE, UP AND UNTIL 1965 OR AROUND THAT TIME, ACROSS THE ENTIRE WORD! FEW PEOPLE HAD A CLUE AS TO WHAT ANY PRIEST WAS SAYING !!!!! [4] THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ACTUALLY HELPED HIDE NAZI WAR CRIMINALS GO TO SOUTH AMERICA, AFTER THE WAR, PARTICULARLY TO ARGENTINA. [5] THE SPANISH INQUISITION 1478 TO 1834, ORDAINED BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, MURDERED, TORTURED, NOT THOUSAND’S, BUT MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE DURING THOSE YEARS!!!….. EASY ENOUGH TO PROVE…….. GO ON LINE ! [6] THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, FOR 100,S OF YEARS, PARADED DEAD MEN’S BONES “THEIR SAINTS” AND RELIC’S, ACROSS THE STREETS OF THE ENTIRE WORLD TO WORSHIP !! …UP UNTIL THE 1960’S.. I HAVE SEEN THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEN ! {7} THE CATHOLIC CHURCH OPENLY STATES THAT FAITH PLUS WORKS, WILL BE THE KEY TO ALL TO ENTER HEAVEN. NOT SO!!!! PLEASE REFER TO THE BOOK OF EPHASIANS CHAPTER 2: 8,9…..WORD FOR WORD ! ..IT S BY FAITH ALONE ! GOOD DEEDS WILL NOT SAVE YOU!! IF HEAVEN IS A PERFECT PLACE, JUST ONE SIN WILL KEEP YOU OUT ! {8} THE HOLY BIBLE VERY CLEARLY STATES TO CALL NO MAN YOUR “FATHER”. THAT TITLE IS ONLY TO BE USED BY HONORING GOD, WHO IS YOUR FATHER!!..WORD FOR WORD IN THE HOLY BIBLE! MATTHEW 23:9 [9] THE CATHOLIC CHURCH DOES NOT ALLOW THEIR PRIEST OR NUNS TO MARRY. YET, THE HOLY BIBLE VERY CLEARLY STATES THAT “IT IS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE, THAT GOD HIMSELF WILL PROVIDE A HELP MATE ‘WIFE” SUITABLE FOR HIM"….GENISIS 2:19. THIS IS THE VERY REASON EXCATLY WHY CATHOLIC PRIEST ARE CAUGHT WORLD WIDE, IN SEXUAL SIN ! GOD MADE US SEXAUL CREATURES, NOT TO BE ALONE ! IT IS NOT GOOD FOR ANYONE!!! [10} THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS TWISTED HOLY SCRIPYURE FOR YEARS! JUST ONE EXAMPLE. THEY HAVE PRONUNCED FOR YEARS THAT THE 5TH COMMANDMENT STATES “THOU SHALL NOT KILL” THAT IS A LIE! IT CORRECTLY READS “THOU SHALL NOT MURDER” THE LORD GOD COMMANDED HIM SELF TO KILL ENTIRE CITIES IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY 20:16..THAT INCLUDED MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN ! READ IT YOURSELF! [11] THE CATHOLIC CHURCH STILL BELIEVES THAT THEIR PREIST CAN FORGIVE SINS !...NO SO ! ....ONLY GOD HIMSELF CAN FORGIVE SINS!!!!...UNDER THE OLD TESTATMENT, THAT WAS TRUE, BUT AFTER JESUS DIED, HE BECAME OUR HIGH PRIEST !..{HEBREWS 7:11-28} THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS STILL PROCLAIMING THE LIE THAT MAN CAN FORGIVE SINS!.........THAT IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL!! AFTER 43 YEARS OF STUDYING THE HOLY BIBLE, I AM 1OO% CERTAIN, THAT ONE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH’S POPES, WILL BE THE GREAT FALSE PROPHET TO THE ANTI-CHRIST “REVELATION 13: 11-15”. FOR FURTHER REFERENCE I RECOMMEND READING “THE TRUTH ABOUT ROMAN CATHOLICISM” BY MARION H. REYNOLDS JR AND “GOD’S WAR ON TERROR” BY WALID SHOEBAT. LOOK ! I WAS A CATHOLIC FOR MANY YEARS... IT WAS ONLY AFTER A BECAME “BORN-AGAIN” AS STATED IN JOHN 3:3, THAT I SUPERNATURALLY BEGAN AWARE OF THE TRUTH ! BOTTOM LINE, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE SECOND LARGEST RELIGIOUS FORCE IN THE WORLD, NEXT TO ISLAM, LEADING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO HELL EVERY DAY!.. DON’T YOU BE ONE!..... YOU HAVE JUST READ THE TRUTH. WHETHER YOU ACT ON THIS, IF YOU ARE A CATHOLIC, WILL CERTAINLY DETERMINE YOUR FINAL ETERNAL DESTINY. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT “BORN-AGAIN”..JOHN 3:3 REALLY MEANS, YOU WILL PAY A TERRIBLE PRICE FOR YOUR IGNORANCE!!.... I CARE! …YOUR CHOICE !! FIND A BIBLE TEACHING, LOVING CHURCH!! HINT! ANY CHURCH THAT PASSES A COLLECTION PLATE IN FRONT OF YOU IS NOT OF GOD!! THE BIBLE VERY CLEARLY STATES THAT WHEN YOU GIVE, GIVE IT IN SECRET! MATTHEW 6: 1-4..NOT CHURCHES ARE ALL ALIKE! FIND THOSE WHO GIVE TO THE POOR, HAVE A PRISION MINISTRY, WHO PREACH THAT SIN LEADS TO HELL, AND THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS !

Based off Christ's mission in Samaria, the Talmud and the Gospels may be sufficient truth, but there is a lot that can be missed out on if you don't believe the divinity of God presents itself outside of scripture or even in scriptures outside of your tradition. Rigidity and added traditions can both get in the way in the way that the philosophies of both the Sadducees and Pharisees did in Jesus's day. The use of Sola Scriptura to avoid the burden of tradition is a great tool for the protestant church. I also think studying church histories and writings of scholars Protestants, Catholic, Orthodox or Coptic can lead to greater understanding and discipleship. God calls on all types of men and women, and will give you the tools you need for that calling.

I also think studying church histories and writings of scholars Protestants, Catholic, Orthodox or Coptic can lead to greater understanding and discipleship. " To add to that, the fact that the Scriptures are sufficient does not mean that we ignore what others have written or said in the past, it simply means that whatever they have said must be evaluated in light of Scripture. We do not disregard what others have said on particular topics, but we do evaluate their words in light of our only trustworthy source; the Bible. While the conclusions of others may be helpful, they are not authoritative in any sense of the word and when a tradition is not founded in biblical exegesis, it must be rejected. God Bless!

@@bansheebrethren797 I’m very sad to hear this. May I suggest you read “Romanism and the Reformation” by Henry Grattan Guinness or any works by Guinness or by John Gill. There are hundreds of great theologians who expertly lay out the history and true beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church. Read Foxe’s Book of the Martyrs that details hundreds of stories of people who died for their faith in Jesus at the torturous hands of the Roman Catholic Church. Sadly the huge wealth of the Vatican has managed to get controlling interest in most of our media and tech platforms and they have suppressed much of this information. The truth is the Roman Catholic Church and the papacy is the antichrist beast system prophecied in Revelation and the reformers as well as many great theologians throughout history knew this and claimed it to be so. Unfortunately so many of us don’t know history and we go off of videos such as this which are nothing but slanted opinion pieces and propaganda. The trinity is declared in the first two verses of the Bible. It's in Hebrew. The triune nature of God is revealed in Genesis 1:1-2. Genesis1:1 in the beginning Elohim created... Eloah is God in Hebrew, the 'im' on the end indicates plurality, however, this word for God is always paired with a singular verb, indicating the plurality within the singular. There is an untranslated word in Genesis 1:1 and that is et/אֵ֥ת. אֵ֥ת, is comprised of the letters Alef Tav, this is a Hebrew concept of completeness. In the oldest form of Hebrew writing, Paleo Hebrew Pictograph, the אֵ֥/Alef was signified by an Ox head. Numbers 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt with strength like a wild ox. The KJV oddly inserts unicorn for ox but the Hebrew word is RE'EM which is a now an extinct extremely large wild bovine with horns, an Ox. ת/Tav, the last letter of the Hebrew alefbet means mark, covenant, tent peg or nail. It was written with the symbol of two crossed sticks and was originally written upright like a cross, approximately 11centuries before the first Roman crucifixion. Jesus says in Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” John was a Jew who came to faith in Christ through his apostleship with Christ. He wrote Revelations in Hebrew. It would have read, "I am the Alef and the Tav..." The Ruach Elohim/ The Holy Spirit: Genesis 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. In Genesis1:1-2 from the beginning of time God/Elohim declares his triune nature.

Some Catholics are really confused. For instance: Do any of you wanna claim this demon? @Willo Lol has been stalking me and harassing me for the last 4 days, simply because I'm not Catholic. Is this the best we can expect from the church? He's spent the last 86 hours frantically scrolling through 6 thousand comments, desperately searching for my comments, just to harass me. He's hacked my Google account, broke into my phone as is currently deleting my words as I type. He subscribed to my channel and watched all my videos 25 times. This is how unhinged, ENRAGED and obsessed with me he is. Pretty pathetic. Pray for this demon possessed man. He is literally filled by the spirit of the antichrist. His only arguments are PROJECTION, HYPOCRISY, and LIES. He is a child of his father Satan, who is the father of all lies. He's on his way to hell, and he couldn't be happier about it. Tertullian clarified his understanding of the Lord’s Table by noting that the bread and the cup were symbols of Christ’s body and blood. In that same vein, we find that many of the church fathers similarly clarified their understanding of the eucharist by describing it in symbolic and spiritual terms. At times, they echoed the language of Christ (e.g. "This is My body" and "This is My blood") when describing the Lord's Table. Yet, in other places, it becomes clear that they intended this language to be ultimately understood in spiritual and symbolic terms. Here are a number of examples that demonstrate this point: The Didache, written in the late-first or early-second century, referred to the elements of the Lord’s table as “spiritual food and drink” (The Didache, 9). The long passage detailing the Lord's Table in this early Christian document gives no hint of transubstantiation whatsoever. Justin Martyr (110-165) spoke of “the bread which our Christ gave us to offer in remembrance of the Body which He assumed for the sake of those who believe in Him, for whom He also suffered, and also to the cup which He taught us to offer in the Eucharist, in commemoration of His blood"(Dialogue with Trypho, 70). Clement of Alexandria explained that, “The Scripture, accordingly, has named wine the symbol of the sacred blood” (The Instructor, 2.2). Origen similarly noted, “We have a symbol of gratitude to God in the bread which we call the Eucharist” (Against Celsus, 8.57). Cyprian (200-258), who sometimes described the eucharist using very literal language, spoke against any who might use mere water for their celebration of the Lord’s Table. In condemning such practices, he explained that the cup of the Lord is a representation of the blood of Christ: “I marvel much whence this practice has arisen, that in some places, contrary to Evangelical and Apostolic discipline, water is offered in the Cup of the Lord, which alone cannot represent the Blood of Christ” (Epistle 63.7). Eusebius of Caesarea (263-340) espoused a symbolic view in his Proof of the Gospel: For with the wine which was indeed the symbol of His blood, He cleanses them that are baptized into His death, and believe on His blood, of their old sins, washing them away and purifying their old garments and vesture, so that they, ransomed by the precious blood of the divine spiritual grapes, and with the wine from this vine, "put off the old man with his deeds, and put on the new man which is renewed into knowledge in the image of Him that created him." . . . He gave to His disciples, when He said, "Take, drink; this is my blood that is shed for you for the remission of sins: this do in remembrance of me." And, "His teeth are white as milk," show the brightness and purity of the sacramental food. For again, He gave Himself the symbols of His divine dispensation to His disciples, when He bade them make the likeness of His own Body. For since He no more was to take pleasure in bloody sacrifices, or those ordained by Moses in the slaughter of animals of various kinds, and was to give them bread to use as the symbol of His Body, He taught the purity and brightness of such food by saying, “And his teeth are white as milk” (Demonstratia Evangelica, 8.1.76-80). Athanasius (296-373) similarly contended that the elements of the Eucharist are to be understood spiritually, not physically: “[W]hat He says is not fleshly but spiritual. For how many would the body suffice for eating, that it should become the food for the whole world? But for this reason He made mention of the ascension of the Son of Man into heaven, in order that He might draw them away from the bodily notion, and that from henceforth they might learn that the aforesaid flesh was heavenly eating from above and spiritual food given by Him.” (Festal Letter, 4.19) Augustine (354-430), also, clarified that the Lord’s Table was to be understood in spiritual terms: “Understand spiritually what I said; you are not to eat this body which you see; nor to drink that blood which they who will crucify me shall pour forth. . . . Although it is needful that this be visibly celebrated, yet it must be spiritually understood” (Exposition of the Psalms, 99.8). He also explained the eucharistic elements as symbols. Speaking of Christ, Augustine noted: “He committed and delivered to His disciples the figure [or symbol] of His Body and Blood.” (Exposition of the Psalms, 3.1). And in another place, quoting the Lord Jesus, Augustine further explained: “‘Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man,’ says Christ, ‘and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.’ This seems to enjoin a crime or a vice; it is therefore a figure [or symbol], enjoining that we should have a share in the sufferings of our Lord, and that we should retain a sweet and profitable memory of the fact that His flesh was wounded and crucified for us (On Christian Doctrine, 3.16.24). A number of similar quotations from the church fathers could be given to make the point that-at least for many of the fathers-the elements of the eucharist were ultimately understood in symbolic or spiritual terms. In other words, they did not hold to the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation. To be sure, they often reiterated the language of Christ when He said, “This is My body” and “This is My blood.” They especially used such language in defending the reality of His incarnation against Gnostic, docetic heretics who denied the reality of Christ's physical body. At the same time, however, they clarified their understanding of the Lord’s Table by further explaining that they ultimately recognized the elements of the Lord's Table to be symbols-figures which represented and commemorated the physical reality of our Lord’s body and blood.

May I ask, why do we have a lot of statues and images of saints? Because according to the book of Exodus 20:4 it is stated that " you shall not make for yourself any carved images, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth".

It's important not to take a passage out of its context. The passage is referring to idols that were to stand as a representation of or replacement of God. It is not a prohibition against any art, or any image for that matter. If we read throughout the rest of Exodus, we will find that God prescribes the creation of seraphs and angels on the tabernacle and in the Temple. All throughout, in fact, there are images. Art, particularly religious art, has played an important part in worship for millennia. For us, the images of saints are not a replacement for God for we are not worshipping them. Like any art, they are meant to inspire, to remind us of the heroic lives that they lived, and to bring us closer to communion with God through them.

You can positively know that if you make a claim to alters scripture or goes against the teachings of the Bible you are sinning. The apostils plainly told people NOT to bow down to them. 2l You have to do scriptural gymnastics to do the "types" that make Mary the one to intervenes to God for us. Mary did not die for our salvation. 3. We do have a infallible Bible given to us by God through the Holy Spirit. . 4 For 1,500 years the Pope was nothing more than a powerful head of political group. Most of them screamed and murdered and had many people killed to take the title of pope. How can you believe Jesus would leave His body "The Church" in the hands of these sinful men?

I love your videos (this one being no exception). However, I find it (at best) unexpected (and at worst even misleading) that you used the "Bread of Life Discourse" as an example where scripture can easily be interpreted in a non-literal way... I am not necessarily claiming that it can ONLY definitively be interpreted literally (because sure- I guess it's possible to say it's just symbolic if we really stretch the interpretation a certain way), but I would not go as far as you do by saying that a non-believer "could be equally convinced that Jesus is speaking literally, that the Eucharist is actually His flesh, or metaphorically, that it is simply a remembrance of Him" and I would definitely not state that "the text gives no clear indication either way." And, by the way, I myself write this as a previous non-believer of the real presence in the Eucharist. Indeed, when one reads the 6th chapter of John and does an exegesis of it (a thorough and proper exegesis), I believe that it is actually difficult to arrive at the conclusion of denying the real presence. I actually wrote my own informal version of an interpretation/explanation of the Bread of Life Discourse for my non-Catholic family and friends (based on that of professional exegesists, combined with my own self-study). That part aside, I really liked the other points you made- especially making the parallelism between the founding of the Church and the later establishment of its Scripture to the founding of a nation and its subsequent drafting of its constitution. Peace and blessings!

On the road to Emmaus, and then later in Jerusalem, Christ gave disciples and apostles all the scriptural typology that predates but points to Him. We know that because it's in the Bible. But the interpretations themselves aren't provided. So here we have scriptural proof of revelation not captured in Sacred Scripture.

@@adrieldavis NB: I’m not here to have a debate. But if you’re being of good faith, I’m just fraternally giving you suggestions you are free to follow. First, you understand that “Catholic” means universal right? As it is written in the Apostles' Creed (followed by Catholics, Orthodoxs and Protestants… Maybe not by Christian sects, I don’t know) we, Christians, all believe in “the holy catholic Church”. Then, I think that what Daniel said, was that what you consider to be the Words of Jesus (and you are right) comes from the Bible as it was defined by the Catholic Church in the 4th century (then, ok, Luther decided to delate some books from the Old Testament ; but even if he hesitated, he kept everything of the New Testament). So, if you do not trust the Church leaders, and want to maximize your chances of following the Words of Jesus, independently from any structure, here is what you should do : 1/ Read all the Gospels, including those of the Apocrypha, to decide what Gospels YOU think are reliable to follow (that is basically a Protestant demarche, to follow what you think Jesus want you to, without considering other forms of hierarchy : even your pastor, right ?) 2/ Decide if you can trust all books from the New Testament, for instance the Apocalypse (we are not sure which John wrote it) or the letters of Saint Paul, as he is not just repeating Jesus words but also interpreting them - interpretations that Saint Peter and Saint James discussed. If you think Paul is reliable, and you’d be right, then also read (as did Luther) works from the very first Christians: texts from the Church Fathers, letters from Saint Clement of Rome, the Didache, etc. And you should also recognize that, in many ways, you need “pastors” (in the letteral sense) to help you follow the way to the Lord. Then, if you are sincere, you might understand what Catholicism is about. Finally, when you’re talking about Mary, I think you were referring to the 10 Commandments, and that you meant “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”, and we all agree, so there is nothing to discuss.

No that's Israel. The sun is Jacob, the moon is his wife(Joseph's mother), and the 12 stars representing the 12 children of Jacob. Its plain as day people Gen 37:9-10 Besides if you read the whole chapter it talks about how the woman was being chased by the devil in the wilderness which didn't happen to Mary. Another thing if you study Revelations you would know that it's talking about what will happen in the tribulation and the millenium.

R Catholics ignored verses that says Do Not Make Statues in the likeness of Male or Female.* *Protestants do not skip Scriptures. Our doctrines come from Scripture Alone remember? The verses you claimed we "skipped" were merely read in the proper context of Jewish context - Mosaic Law itself is Works Salvation.* you said Protestants just skip over vast amounts of scriptures.
