@@susanmatyus9165 I think King Charles's face is good in the red portrait, but I agree the amount of red is too much and very very distracting, so it is difficult to focus on the features, it gives me a headache looking at it. I think the painter could go over the back ground and tone it down - if he didn't have a huge ego that is!

I believe the King’s portrait extraordinary. It brings out the man, all the kindness and caring of his character in an original and dignified manner, not another fuddy duddy old King. The one of Catherine looks like a AI witch, a cartoon dummy, cold and characterless. Who allowed this outrage to pass? Who’s approval and why? Am not even one of Catherine’s deity followers, but I can well see this painting is no-one’s current perception of the woman. It’s poorly executed, drawn and bears little resemblance to the subject. I, for one, would like to see more evidence of its provenance and Catherine, whatever her faults, deserves better.

whoever painted Catherine’s portrait should have gone to “specsavers” it’s terrible,and Tatler magazines should be pulled from the shelves.

I couldn't disagree more. The portrait of Charles is wonderful, with the best likeness of the King that anyone has captured. It is a beautifully skillful work, which even those who dislike the composition have admitted is expertly executed. The 'portrait' of Catherine is without skill, and is amateurish and ugly. Catherine is unrecognisable. It is utterly unfair to compare the two works.

I haven't brought Tatlar magazine ever. A lot of people won't buy it because of the picture it should be called Tat which means rubbish 🙄

The portrait is terrible and proves that not all publicity is good publicity. I doubt the artist will get many commissions based on this job. Tatler Magazine should issue an apology.

Not only does the portrait look nothing like Catherine, the artist has little to no talent. What a strange thing for the magazine to do.

Neil, enjoy the sun while you have. The Tatler cover of Catherine is not worth a response from her. It is difficult to believe friends would blab to tabloids, period. No, I do not like the cover art of Catherine, she is more beautiful than that.

It is an exaggeration to call this picture a portrait. Other than a resemblance to the dress that Catharine wore, there is nothing about this painting that depicts the beautiful and gracious Catherine.

Say what you like about King Charles' recent portrait, but at least it looks like him. Which is more than can be said of that horrendous portrait of Catherine.

If someone hadn't told me that was the Princess of Wales I wouldn't have know it was her. Worst likeness since that awful statue of Lucille Ball. If Tattler wanted royal favour they sure blew it with this. These woke nuts think they can get away with anything. They can't. I think that terrible fad is starting to come to a long overdue end, finally.

The fact that Tattler didn’t just do a pic of Meghan which was what this was about, instead they thought a black artists painting of Catherine would cause a bigger stir than using an actual 43% Nigerian. This wasn’t about diversity it was about causing chaos

The portrait, in my opinion, is worse than anything an A level art student would present fir their finals. I wasn't sure about the portrait of the King, however it has grown on me. The kindly, compassionate face just draws me in.

When that ghastly portrait of King Charles was unveiled, I was shocked at how horribly ugly and disrespectful the use of the red background was--as if to overshadow and wipe out his image. Now, this "caricature" of the lovely Princess of Wales while she is undergoing cancer treatment goes beyond the beyond of meanness and vicious treatment of her. I do not believe the garish portrait of KIng Charles, and the distorted photoshopped picture of the Princess of Wales was a coincidence at all. Those two moves were done purposefully and with malice intended toward them by vicious people who have a need to be in the spotlight in their anti-monarchist stance. How brutal to target two members of the Royal Family while they are both undergoing serious treatments for cancer. How low people of no ethics or morals can go!! JMHO
