Cathedrals Express to Swanage - 28th September 2016
Another run to the seaside behind 6201 Princess Elizabeth. This time the destination was Swanage, and the locations we chose were:
Feltham Junction & Hounslow Cemetery, Worting Junction, Totton, Holton Heath, Swanage, Millbrook, Whitchurch and Weybridge.
Watch the reaction of the disinterested bystander at Weybridge when the exhaust hits the footbridge.

Crimson Lake Engines are just so wonderful.
Another classic production from you and Alan Martyn, exemplary work throughout, and I loved the individual concentrating too much on his phone until Lizzie opened up!.... Thanks as always...Bob
Princess Elizabeth is one of the finest locomotives ever built. Personally, I always feel it's a bit of a pity when they have to tack a diesel on the back.
Excellent, excellent video I really enjoyed watching it and is very well put together, thank you for sharing.
Superb video Martyn . Brilliant coverage of the tour , captured at well chosen location. Outstanding filming through out. Enjoyable watching. Kind regards C&A

What a splendid sight at Worting Jct. Just a pity the support coach doesn't quite match the livery of the loco, although the rest of the train does quite nicely.
Nearly sent the M7 rolling into the shed!
I assume there must be a turn table where the engines turn around ?

There is a turntable at Swanage but it isn't long enough to turn the loco so the diesel takes the train back with the steam loco on the rear. At Southampton the train reverses and with the steam loco leading goes via Romsey and Laverstock, near Salisbury and heads for Basingstoke and enroute.
