Hello there! I was among the winners of Hong Kong's World of Winners promotion. My prize was a free roundtrip ticket from South Korea to Hong Kong. It was a wonderful experience to visit Hong Kong for the first time in 10 years.
This Cathay Pacific flight was operated by an Airbus A350-900. I was seated in economy class while my wife was in premium economy. It was not worth the ONE WAY upgrade cost of 840,000 so I reluctantly stayed in economy. Just to give a comparison, a business class ticket one way from ICN is less than that!
However, the cabin crew moved me up to premium economy in the last hour of the flight to share a birthday cake and champagne with my wife. Now, that is service right there! Thank you, Cathay Pacific.
