I live in Indy now, but I come up your way and catch monster flatheads and blues every year at the spillway at missesinnewa. If you're interested we can get together this spring and see if we can get u that monster.. Hit me back and I'll shoot u my info.

I’d put it in the low to mid 50s…. A really nice flat! It’s crazy how big they get in tiny little creeks

That was my exact thought as far as weight. We catch em like that here in the Altamaha river in GA, all though I have to admit ones over 50 arent a daily catch by any means

I love the color patterns on those things, so unique! I’d say you are very close calling it a 50 pounder, she was thick. Definitely far north of 35. Can’t wait for part 2 👍

@@TyPigPatrol That cat reminded me of a local pathologist loved to go out on the Arkansas River and noodle big flatheads . One night I was on emergency surgery call. Got there about midnight. Our patient was that pathologist with his right arm ripped to shreds. He said he'd reached into a hole in some rocks and that flathead came down on his arm about to his elbow. He said he didn't want to let go of that cat's gills because he wanted to see that mouth he'd been able to stick his arm in that far . Of course big cat like that had some teeth. And that cat clamped down trying to swallow that arm. Luckily the docs friend was there and reached into the whole and stuck the cat in the nose with a penknife. That cat open his mouth and shook hard. The doc was freed. But he bleed like a stuck pig. We cleaned his arm and sewed up a long gash and several small ones. Then rinsed the wounds with antibiotic wash. Put pressure dressing on couple days later he was brought back for dressing change. We had to debride some of the cuts and leave them open. Doc got over it okay. We laughed at him about being eaten by a flathead. 😆😄

Amazing catfish! You should come to Europe sometime and go after the Wels Catfish. They get mahussive!

@@TyPigPatrol No prob, at first glance from the thumbnail I thought for sure that was a turtle. I was surprised and boy was that ever a big Flathead. Me and my dad would go to the Kankakee River and catch catfish, I was so young I barely remember.

@@TyPigPatrol No, it is probably possible in areas with massive catfish presence like France, but not in our country. It is quite rare to catch a decent catfish on a wobbler. Also it is common to catch them under the surface, but not on popper or skitter walk or so like you may watch in certain youtube videos.

Amazing how it hit that crank bait. I have caught flathead off bumping a lizard nothing that big. I heard forty but I believe that was bigger than forty by at least five pounds. Good job. My biggest flat head was 25 pounds and that was a big fish to me that was twice the size of what I caught. As you would say insane
