Catfish Blues (Jimi Hendrix) guitar lesson easy blues riff!
This is a lesson on Catfish Blues by Jimi Hendrix which is actually a cover of an old blues song from 1941. This is a fantastic riff to play on your own and improvise over in a call and response kind of way. It also just has that "vibe" if you're familiar with the album "Blues" by Jimi. Super fun to play and something you can play as a beginner as well! As always let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for this excellent lesson. Your video is by far the clearest explanation I have seen of this style of blues. Keeping the video short, slow, and with notes/tabs on the screen really helps. Thank you and keep making great videos likes this.

I really appreciate it! I've recently worked on adding tabs, thumbnails, etc but video editing is new to me so hopefully it continues to get better! Once again, can't express how much I appreciate it!

This is muddy waters version, Jimi hendrix started with a hammer on from E to G and would hit muted strings to fill in the beats making the riff similar but different, It's still a good lesson tho to get the feel and rhythm of said song.
