Hello and thanks for the video upload. My S61 powers off with very small movements or even gentle touches. From what I have read, this powering off usually is due to the battery not making contact correctly but as I can see from your video around 2:50 this connector seems to be very protected. Can you think of any other cause for the phone to turn off ? I have discarded software issues because this happens even in the phone´s configuration screen.

Check the Battery connect, sometimes they are a little bit wide and can't hold the pins on the Mainboard properly

Hello again. As a follow up for my own question, the cable connector for the battery was faulty, I can not figure out how or why. But your video was a great help for disassembly. Question is : do you use any kind of silicone on the borders when re-assemblig the phone ? Regards.

Hi. Did you test the flit camera after reassembly? I changed housing and battery on mine, powers up, flit camera is showing heat colors, but it want show any temp readings. Just stuck at -40c.

By any chance do you know how to replace the dust cover for the headphone jack?

Hi where to buy repait parts? I bought one used and its usbTypeC port is weared out, only slow charge can be done and it stops until 34% charge max, ane with 5 new cables I could charge it with 1 new cable as fast charge for a while and wothn one "charge", but not steady, so not the cable is weared out. I think I have to replace thet big ribbon cable stuff with the USB port as it is on that cable stuff. Also when I tried to wash mine with water it turned ofof after half hout and now cannot turn back, I put it to the Sunshine and the laser glass has now lots of water frominside.. so also not waterproof, I have to disassemby and need glue and back rubbet too :( I bought it used and the seller told me it was recently in warranty replacement of the battery the back rubber cover and the glue... but they made something bad as not waterproof and the usb cable is not replaced and weared out :( I have to buy new usb port and other parts in Europe Hungary now :(

Are those tools specific to the S61? Where can I find the right tools?

HI, Many thanks for the video. How did you replaced the gaskets? when I removed the back cover, the long gasket that runs on the edge got completely ruined, so had to remove it. How do you replace that? thanks!

It looks like sealant, not a pre made gasket.

thanks for this video, mine seems different..it boots to the android CAT S61 logo and stops there..not beyond, could it be the switch

@@Telrichrosefina thanks for responding, no i only shut it down when it got stuck playing loud music..and since then it only boots to the android logo..i have tried hard reset and all that the internet has to offer still no way

My headphone Plug cover broke and I got some replacements. Same with the charging plug at the bottom. I managed to replace the charging plug. But the headphone plug is build differently and just pushing it didn't really help. I tried to use a needle as a tool to help push but I didn't succeed either. Mostly because I don't want to break it when I put it in. Do you have any tips on inserting that cover?

​@@Telrichrosefina First of all thanks for the reply. When it came to the charging cover it worked quite nicely on my own. So I find it surprising that they would make two different systems and one can be done by myself and the other one needs a professional. With professional way do you mean some phone repair shop or do you mean sending it in to the CAT company through the store I bought it from?

@@Telrichrosefina I have bought 2 pieces of the correct replacement parts but one of them broke with me doing barely anything. With barely anything I mean normal usage would have broken it within a week or so. The other one is more robust. But the holding mechanism of the two covers is different. In the bottom one the cover has some type of barbed hook which was working as I expected. The top one has a hole with a pin in the middle and the plastic part of the cover is has the form of a "0". For some reason I managed to tear out the old broken one but I can't manage to fit the cover around the pin anymore. And I fear that too much force will break the plastic.
