Great Machine. One of the best Operator I have seen on here. He filled his bucket each pass, taking only two buckets for each truck. He filled 33 truck In the time this was recording. I mean Filled the trucks, they could not hold any more, all was mounded up and running over. Great operator and great machine.

How about showing where the take the loads. And mixing it up a little.

I like this operater always full bucket.

Production would be faster if the trucks were lower the the excavator and the excavator only needs to swing less then 90 degrees.

True, but less skilled operators required (easier hiring in 3rd world countries) cheaper wear parts (standard truck tires cost nothing compared to mining tires) and less fuel cost due to simple direct drive transmissions, versus automatics. In many mine sites they are switching to modified highway trucks because mass produced trucks give more bang for the buck, if the field conditions allow their use.

If one truck goes down you've lost a quarter of your fleet, if a mining dump truck goes down you've lost your entire fleet.Road trucks are also a lot cheaper to run, and if the haul roads are kept well graded its not a problem.

Not as small as you might think..each one is an 8 wheeler that's taking away 30-40 tonnes of material at a time. They look small because the excavator is so Huge.

Im sure its owner drivers that get paid by the load. . . The mine saves on buying big dump trucks, maintenance and fuel. . .

I'm pretty sure this is the Amyntheon mine in Greece. Opencast lignite mine with bucket wheels, plant right next to pit, and 'Sotiriadis' seems pretty grecian to me.

I want to work here how can this be done.?

This setup fills a road-capable truck in less than a minute. And by 'fill', I mean FILL. Watch the 'spillage' off the trucks. Notice how it is often an even cascade off three sides? That's how you achieve absolute maximum loads, via heaping physics. If they are required to use over-the-road trucks to reach the power plant (which is very possible) then a larger truck is not allowed. In that case, the way to get maximum tons of coal moved is to get maximum loads on the trucks as fast as possible. I have little doubt some very good industrial planners did the math on this before they bought the new machine. I'm personally very impressed with the drivers. A brand-new 150 ton excavator running flat out is a LOT of coal, and these guys are keeping a truck ready and waiting once a minute, every minute. Very impressive!
