    Could be something to that I guess but in my opinion it has more to do with the way crappie see colors on certain days due to light penetration, water color, etc. Definitely not disagreeing with you though all I know is it does make a difference at times. Thanks for watching!

    What a treat to watch you explain and show what you are looking for on your forward facing sonar screen and then make the casts and watch the lure descend and follow the lure in the water column. This helps immensely for us beginners with forward facing sonar. Your tip about staying 30 feet away did not go unnoticed either! Your best video yet.....at least for me. What brand and # line are you using?

    Great video. I have a 14ft kayak using HDS Live 7; wondering if adding active active target would yield satisfactory results or whether it would be better to switch to a larger Elite unit or bite the bullet for Garmin LS34 with Ultra 106S. Your thoughts?

    Hey Brandon, awesome videos & supper informative. I'm sure this is a dumb question but i'll ask it anyway. I haven't owned a boat in 20 years & am looking to purchase a new 1 next year & will definitely have active target. So,,,when you're looking at your screen, how do you know where the boat is compared to the location of the fish? And, is there a way to put a boat icon on the screen to help with that?

  • @BrandonLesterFishing

    @BrandonLesterFishing

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes there is an icon on the screen that will show you where the transducer is facing, but I have it turned off. After some practice you won’t need it. I have my AT transducer mounted to the trolling motor shaft so basically wherever my trolling motor head is facing is where the transducer is pointing.

If you don’t mind in one for your videos could you go over your transducer location and angle. Also do you have a designated battery just for your fish finder? I would like to dial my hds in like yours. Thanks for all the great videos and the ones to come.

    The Thing I've learned about Electronics is it's a Never ending learning process, Livescope is no different, there's basic starting points for my settings, there's no magic number for the gain it depends on Water Conditions , sunlight, Summer time thermocline,I honestly believe Even the Moon phases has some effect on interference , I use The Garmin System,, Starting points ,, Noise Low,, TVG Low,, Color Gain 78,, Color Limit -0-,,, Gain STARTING POINT 65 That number changes more than once thru out a day maybe only a couple of bumps Down or Up but as a rule between 60 and 70 I'll get the sweet spot, I also adjust my auto fresh a tad ,it's at about 108 ,I can see my Jig better than the default number at that, nothing replaces Time On The Water, Trying different things just keep Those basic starting points and you can always go back to those and start Over,,, and by no means is Livescope a magic wand that makes fish Bite it's just not gonna happen that way , it's a Great Tool , Using It Effectively is All up to You, and I don't claim to be No expert,, but I'm learning,, great video Tight Lines Brother 💦🐟🎣🤠
