Catching Late Evening Crappie When Its Hot!!

Спорт

Catching crappie in the hot months of Summer can be challenging at times. Have you ever though to check the thermocline? On this G3 Sportsman episode, Scott Turnage meets up with Kris Nelson of Tandem Fly Outfitters on Stockton Lake in MO to catch crappie moving from the main lake to flats due to the changing thermocline.

Great show as always Scott. Ol Kris keeps putting them in the boat. Hes a big reason I'm guiding now as I get closer to the end of my Law Enforcement Career. Stockton is a true place of beauty.

Thanks Scott and Wes and Sunset Nelson for a fine video. It was terrible the way you were taunting Wes and keeping him in the back of the boat, he nearly drowned the camera back there slobbering like he was, buy him a slobbering towel next time, You all had a great time out there and nailed the crappie really good, lots to eat !!Did a good job on explaining the thermocline too cause it do make a big difference when the lake turns over. Thanks for everything and great fun with Wes, we know he can take care of his self but we need to show him we are on his side too. Stay safe. OLD DAWG DREAMING Fred.

Mr Turnage, I noticed you had and egg sinker above your jig. What weight egg sinker were you using and what size jig head weight were you using? Great shows as always!

It was only a 1/16oz. Just helped my jig drop a bit faster and also helps for seeing my rig on the screen.
