    I knew we'd get a video from you from this past weekend....lower Niagara was prime especially after that rain let up Saturday afternoon. Nice King from the shore...landed one just like it a couple of weeks prior (near the same spot, down river from the PA), was much darker in color and definitely more weathered looking than the nice one your dad reeled in. I use a similar setup down there...run 30 lb braid down to 12 lb test fluoro, 11'6" lamiglas steelhead rod w/30 size spinner reel, bead & gamakatsu hook in the Niagara.

    I’m kinda new to fishing. I know the basic worm and hook, or roe and hook. What’s that setup you’re running just a bead? Does the fish bit the bead or the hook?

  • @OutsidersOutdoorCo

    @OutsidersOutdoorCo

    Жыл бұрын

    After the bobber and split shots I have about 2.5ft of 8lb leader with a plastic bead attached to the line via a bead peg, which is about 2inches from the hook. The fish bites the bead and then when you set the hook it get the fish in the corner of the mouth everytime 👍 this setup imitates a single trout egg and since the fish hits the egg it prevents the fish from swallowing the hook 🎣😎

    This was around 10am, when you're not catching anything just keep switching baits until you find something that works, also it's good to move spots if the action seems slow. When you catch your first one just remember what you did to catch it and then keep on doing it👍

    I think Noah relies on the forced perspective shot in order to get those cool close up, tail to head, slow motion clips. Noah and pops are humble dudes and I doubt their intention is forced perspective for the sake of making a fish appear large. That's not their style Noah, you do you brother! You and pops are great at prioritizing a clean release. Keep up the good work
