That post office was where i learned how to work the bottom and actually catch fish. Good spot cant wait for them to be done with construction and hopefully well be able to access it.

it was the only good day too fish especially when I work days and only get 1 evening to fish , it felt good just to be with the boys

I love there reels

I hammered them on the Detroit side during the week but as of Friday, it really slowed down to almost a stand still, hoping it picks back up again.. Also hoping the post office opens back up again soon to relieve some of the fishing pressure at all the nearby places.. Riverside was packed on Friday....

I was there in the morning before the afternoon storm came. Didn't catch anything other than someone's jig in the water lol. I lost my head of my dollar store net when this person next to me was fishing and lost his fishing pole in the river... yes.. his fishing rod.. So he borrowed mine and snaped lol.. Another person there came to help with his bigger next and scoop it from the water.. insane day! lol

Piscifun carbon x is great reel, I have one and recommend it. Though I’d recommend the Daiwa revros over it since it’s a little over half its price and the best low level real in its class by far

I have 55 years of upgrading and repairing nearly every spinning and baitcasting reel made, as you don't have the know-how or experience to recommend one reel brand /model over another Mr Millennial!

Sad how bad the fishing has gotten , in the 70's we got 2/3 pounders all night long , you guys are pulling in minnows calling them fish .

we still do get 2-3 pounders , every fall starts with mini spikes then the big ones follow after in a couple weeks , Ive been jigging the shore for 31 years and it always worked out this way . thanks for the comment
