Catching An Inshore Slam In Under 2 Hours With A Crazy Dog On Board

Ойын-сауық

Want to see how you can catch an inshore slam (redfish, snook, and speckled trout) in under two hours with a dog on the boat (all on artificial lures)?
Then check out some of the footage from my recent Clearwater Fishing Report that I did for our Insider Fishing Club Members.
The bite was definitely on fire that day, and not even Otis the wonder dog could ruin my chances at an inshore slam.
To join the Insider Fishing Club mentioned in this video, click here now:
www.saltstrong.com/inshore-in...
As you'll see in the video, I was able to catch multiple trout, a redfish, and a nice snook all in an hour and half using just one lure (even with a noisy dog on board).
The moral of the story is that it's all about finding the feeding fish and making sure you aren't stuck in a dead zone.
Any questions on this Clearwater fishing report?
Let me know in the comments.

Well done, especially within 2 hours. Caught my first "inshore slam" last year in Port Charlotte Harbor, only to find FWC had a different opinion on what an inshore slam consists of. Bummer.

The FWC Inshore Slam consists of a red, speckled and ......... a flounder! I had always thought it was as you stated, red, speckled and snook. Please let me know if you find out something different.

Here's a post we did a while back about "slams". There are an absolute ton of different ones that are apparently recognized by different groups: www.saltstrong.com/articles/saltwater-fishing-slams

Love this... The dog made the video a lot more interesting. Just curious, how many subscribers are in your fishing club? Don't your fishing spots get over populated with fisherman once you reveal the exact fishing hole? Someone on KZread recently said that's called "spot burning"? I'm really up in the air about what your company is all about. For years seems like the fisherman's code of ethics has been to keep good fishing spots a secret. You do have a great idea though, get people to pay you to tell them where the fish are. Anyway, great video, really, really love the dog? Make sure he has plenty of fresh whater out there. It's so freakin hot!

Great question. Our fishing club has a couple thousand anglers from TX up to NC. And although we show spots, the main focus of the reports is on TRENDS (which is why the anglers in TX and LA get a ton of value). Spots come and go (not to mention spots are stagnant and rarely do you find a spot that works year round). Our fishing club is focused on helping inshore anglers understand the trends and feeding habits of inshore fish so they can replicate what we are doing ANYWHERE. Hope that makes sense. If you want to see more about the Insider fishing club, here is a video we put together. Thanks man! www.saltstrong.com/inshore-insider-membership-invitation/

I don’t know if y’all see comments this far back in your videos, but you’re killing me with your dog training techniques. Don’t say his name when he does something bad. Simply a stern “no,” or “bad dog.” Use his name when he does something good and give him lots of positive attention. Easy for me to say, but the dog deserves the right to be as successful as your amazing fishing channel.

When just catching fish isn't hard enough, so you need a Labrador Retriever (and trolling motor) to give you a challenge:)

  • @Saltstrong

    @Saltstrong

Haha. It certainly added to the challenge of catching fish. Had I known he was going to jump in and sprint up and down the grass flat, I might have just left him at home... but then again, it made the trip pretty memorable. Thanks for watching and commenting Andrew.
