I don't expensive shoe either. I'd rather wear $20 shoes... BUT A lot of these really expensive shoes are limited run, or incredibly rare. It's a lot like trying to search down a good 90s car like a Celica GT-FOUR or a Silvia or something like that. You can find things that are incorrect and etc that indicate replicas.

Stamps and coins only hold up if they're authentic. Same thing with these shoes the people buying them want them to be legit, nothing is stopping you from printing the rarest Pokemon card and taping it to a piece of cardboard and using it in your card games, doesn't mean it's the real deal. That authentication is where the presumed value comes from. Think a little harder before you judge people's hobbies.

@@wingsken it would be great if she had some type of device that can authenticate the correct shoe material and thread patterns by breaking it down in an explanation. Now that would be a great skill to have, but at the end of the day they’re all made in china by the same people, and the same materials. I’m thinking the legit pairs you are paying the big company that basically “sanctioned” these shoes to be legit and then you have the replicas in which you are basically helping the factory that made em.

Spent $160+ on af1 back in December and only wore them about three times. Spent $213 on Justin boots about a month ago and have worn them almost every day since.

I'm mesmerized by someone that knows what they're doing and takes complete pride in it, yet can't shake that fact you all go through so much and spend so much on shoes of all things....

U wouldn't wear them either if u knew the resale and get it. My win like 96 jordan 11s are 600+ size 13..re sale. Today . I got them for 220 years ago... would u were them ... hell no.. u see them. As pointless waste of money.. whatever. But we see them as an investment just like u have stocks and bonds. Some collectors have several pairs of certain shoes doubling and tripling there money....

Selling shoes can’t possibly earn more than a doctor who is good at their job, especially a brain surgeon. I’m not looking down on shoes collecting and selling here. It’s just that you are making it way more important than it should be.
