just so you know the you can change the Pokemon targeted by auto aim by pressing the "A" button also: there is a very low chance to get this done before the indigo disk but good luck

When i soft resetted for a shalpha goodra i got it first try

Hey so when auto aim in PLA, you can press A to switch targets. This was included in the tutorial and is on screen for the rest of the game.

Hey radiant, quick heads up. You missing all of those jet balls is NOT a skill issue, but due to GameFreak being GameFreak, since for some reason the reticle is slightly higher or lower (can’t remember which exactly) than where you’re actually aiming and throwing the ball. Hope this helps!

Man there’s nothing better than finding a shiny alpha Pokémon and I’m kinda sad that jumbo Pokémon aren’t as big in S/V. My first ever shiny alpha Pokémon was Dartrix that I immediately evolved in Hisuian Decidueye and I’ve kept him on the team ever since.

13:37 I don't know if you're aware, but by leaving the general vicinity of the outbreak and going far enough that the mons unload while there are less than four left, you can alter the RNG due to the game generating "ghost spawns" (rolling for spawns that don't actually exist, as it tries to fill up to the limit of four DESPITE needing less than that). This DRASTICALLY increases the amount of second waves you can get, thereby increasing your chance at getting a shiny alpha. While MUCH SLOWER, they are perfectly viable, and can even allow "easy" permutations of skittish Pokemon! It just...takes awhile. No digs at you for NOT doing it, mind you, but I wanted you to be aware for the future. A ten-wave outbreak can have over FIVE HUNDRED permutations if you know what you're doing! EDIT: You mentioned it at around 27:40 so you already know, good to know! I'd do my own tutorial if my laptop could handle video making, but...yeah, it's not always explained the best, and I'm FAR from the best at explaining it myself. But once you learn it it kinda makes sense.

I didn’t know it was a thing until I found the cascoon accidentally this way LOL. I tried permutations with skittish pokemon by throwing berries at them, it was just super annoying getting it right consistently 😭

@@EternalRadiant You can still get up to eight permutations just via the ghost spawns with skittish Pokemon! It's far from perfect, but it's better than nothing! That being said, I intend to learn how to make permutations via berry bonking skittish mons can be done consistently, as I want to get EVERY POSSIBLE shiny alpha (yes, even the agonizing ones) for my formdex. But starting with just ghost spawns is a good place to begin :D

For the gentle zoarark I guessed gentle but then switched to calm before the check

just for the next video in case you wanna continue with the permutation method, not all of the 49 permutations allow for a shiny. Austin John mentions it in his video. Only a select few permutations can have a shiny, so you wont have to waste hours. He says which ones do in his video

Gotta say, you have fueled my bad choices. Im now hunting the same Alpha Goodra you were. In other words, Im going insane. I have no idea what reset Im on, but its over 100. Edit: I found the Goodra, her name is Zutto, and I never wanna do this method again. The kick in dopamine is nice, but the time wasted is not worth it to me.

Dude I’ve been shiny hunting for ages now and the biggest cause of running away is this damn auto aim, I hate that it doesn’t go for the one that’s the only one in the direction you’re facing. You can switch the sim with A but still. It sucks.
