Love a team kingliest upload! What’s the main reason for going for a heavier jig than say a 40gram? Aside from casting distance and what size hooks would you run on your jigs?

u can maintain decent contact with the jig in heavy current and wind and suits if ur after a bigger profile

💯... we also use heavier gear, so we can't use the smaller jigs. We're hoping to encounter kingfish also.

What rod to you recommend for casting heavy baits and sinkers 180g+ for around 150 and under

We don't use hooks on the end of the jig, on on the top, we cast far to the sand area, and when we get close we don't let the jig sink to the bottom

The superslide is so annoying to use. Too big flies bad, one good cast every 5 but it catches the biggest kingies also ...

You can't jig them too aggressive, has to be slower or small lifts. But I know what you mean, they flop around when you cast it.

@@hldemi_fishing true. But under 60g is a no factor usually. I had the pink and silver, lost it 3 times then switched to the massive. Probably will never go back considering the results 💪🏻 shame that I lost it though, it's a true weapon and swims like a garfish
