Catch, Cook and Camp Deep in the Mountains! (Wild Brook Trout)
Ойын-сауық
After months and months of waiting for the snow to melt off the roads, I was finally able to make it up to this beautiful spot to camp! .....Until it snowed the next morning and I had to leave.. But I returned a couple days later and gave it another try. Cooked some good food, caught some nice fish, and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of gods country.

makes me happy seeing you catch and cook and camp, reminds me of in younger days, keto going out there bro
Man, i grew up on tinfoil dinners camping up by Strawberry with my family. Next time i go camping, i'm doing tinfoil dinners again. It's been too long. Also, bahaha, i literally went camping a few days ago and cooked some steaks on the fire. Used the 'ol Devil's Spit on them myself. Love that stuff.

I can 100-percent relate to the staying up late on Scout camps😂

Great show Braddah 🤙🏾🤘🤩
When you're fishing spinning boats like roostertails or spoons you need to tie a swivel on it'll keep your line from twisting and give you a better presentation in the water.
Great video man, I like the longer format as well, it shows more.

Those little lakes on that mtn hold lots of different species. One lake I fished on the south slope, I was reeling in rainbows every cast. But yeah, nice area to do some lake hoping.

@@bassntroutfishing one lake I fished was mostly stocked with Rainbows. And down the slope there was nothing but Colorado River Cutties in it.
Ponderosa pines are one of the dominant conifer species in california as well as Douglas fir. But we have a mix of incense cedar, white fir,red fir,and my favorite the sugar pine. Sugar pines have huge cones and the trees regularly attain 125-200ft. I've noticed colorado is mostly pinyon pine, juniper, spruce snd aspen. Colorado's trees aren't quite as impressive as pacific states trees but the mountains and trout fishing you guys have are outstanding. Stuck in texas heat longing for another Colorado trip. Got my pb smallmouth bass yesterday which is nice but I'd much rather be in the mountains catching trout. Maybe a few Paychecks later
Long video, loved it!!!!!!!!

Some bigger tigers in that lake too. It's not easy from shore once the vegetation takes over. The end of that road has some good fishing too.

Wouldn't de-thawed mean freeze? Lol. I am always a fan!
Can't believe those trout can breed and survive in such a small shallow lake but you caught some decent ones bruh! I was waiting for you to MacGyver up a fishing stick when the rod busted and go for a survival catch and cook lol but maybe next time. Great job and more brookies please!

@@bassntroutfishing Nice brookies. Brook trout cannot reproduce in lakes. It is not likely that they are wild-though there is a chance those little streams allow them to spawn.
Those roads looked almost as bad at pleasant grove city roads. Jk, love the catch and cooks

I had that exact same thing happened to me and you went to a few years ago... If rods get too cold for too long they will snap so easily! I lost four rods in one day cuz we left him out overnight!

Yeah that’s how my fly rod broke to a year ago. I didn’t know the cold could break them.
"Scouts" is like the mid 80's for me. Sucks its so dry and there's a fire ban or I'd be out this weekend myself. :)
It just not fair, just watch your video , you catching a trout, then got facebook picture of my son in Montana catching a limit. its just not fair. and i got to get out. and yes a storm is moving in. but am planing to get out next thrusday. boats ready and yankee meadows here i come...yes the comping is great so keep them coming..got to cooking some busn now.

When your Fishing with a spoon you should do some spin stops
Your cooking sections are always entertaining. The "oven" trick was genius, I'm going to have to try it. What elevation were you at? I'm chompin at the bit to get up on the Boulders but I don't want to make the 4 hr drive and not make it up to my predetermined destination.

Hey man nice video. Try to wet your hands before touching trout; it helps maintain their slime layer that protects them from harmful bacteria and parasites.
