I read her book, Think Learn Succeed. Not long after I experienced some trauma in my life and used her principles and teachings. I cannot emphasize enough the value of what these principles meant to me, it helped me through times where I would usually loose control of myself. Her book was not for the now but for later, anything of good value will pass the test of time and Think Learn Succeed certainly did! Thank you Dr Leaf👍

Expectancy doesn't automatically change with a decision not to think a certain way. As in the example of having a difficult boss, expectancy changes when we learn how to self talk, know where we stand against company rules as well as how to mentally challenge what's unacceptable in relationship, even if it's quietly in our own mind (re-conceptualizing). All this in order to learn not to worry about what other people think of us and to be fluid in dealing with difficult people so that truth wins out. Then, we can create a more positive neurological pathway.

Another precious "thread" in this time of my life --- Pulling these threads together from God - What joy and what encouragement - We can understand and we can regulate our thinking, our feeling and our choices. Thank you for the clarity and yet "simplicity" of your talk. You are so gifted in taking a very complex topic and encouraging me to dip deeper!

Minute 26:13 "I'm not sure if you're aware of this but people are dying 15-25 years younger than they used to. For decades people have been living longer. Between 2014 & 2016 this trend reversed. The main reason why people are dying 15-25 years younger is because of Preventable Lifestyle Diseases. Part of those preventable lifestyle diseases- the main component is how we manage our mind."

Study the psycology of disappointment:-trauma occurs and results in severe disappointment- to overcome that you have to see it as a 'gift' of God calling you into a higher perspective. Go higher and search for an open door or to 'get over it' by climbing up that wall into a new way of thinking about it. It is a process but a fresh love and respect of self is the result and another 'step' up. I watch a lot of you tubes - 'from surviving to thriving'

  • @andreab2627

Trauma blindsides you, and you need time to rest, physically, mentally, emotionally. Go gently on yourself. Ask for help. But know that you can take hold of truth, promises of God, of which will anchor you in Christ in a deeper and stronger way than ever before, maybe because, ultimately, being in Christ is the only certainty and safe place in this world, and because what the enemy intended to harm or destroy us, if we turn to our heavenly father, will be used for good. It's a mystery, and a painful journey. Hold on and cry out. God is there with you, ALL the time.

Mathew Evans is one of two Canadians who developed and patented an incandescent light bulb, on July 24, 1874, five years before Thomas Alva Edison's U.S. patent on the device. Evans, from Toronto, Ontario, and his friend Henry Woodward, made the light bulb by sending electricity through a filament made of carbon.
