Catalina Story Project presents "Rosie"

This documentary about the life of Rosie Cadman was the fourth in the Catalina Museum for Art & History's Catalina Story Project series which shares Catalina Island history through the eyes of longtime island residents.
Rosie is often called the "Queen of the Pleasure Pier." She owned and operated the fish market at the end of Avalon's Pleasure Pier for many years and weighed over 5,000 marlin as the official weigher for the Tuna Club of Avalon.
The film is sweet and heartfelt just like Cadman herself. It touches on the love of her family with comments and stories from a couple of her many grandchildren along with her stories, memories and wisdom.
