A question about 2v2s, I'm playing with my brother rn, he is Sub Rog, I'm DPriest. There are pretty much no guides for Cata online, somehow, while there are literally thousands for wotlk, I guess Cata is dead in the private-server world. The question is: How tf do we play this comp? XD All the guides I could find, and there are so few of them, put Sub Disco as top tier in arenas, but if I'm against a comp that has a non-priest healer, and the dps is DK, Feral, or Hunter, it's an instant lose. The other DPS deal far more damage than my Rogue can, and even if I try burstin we can't burst anyone in time before the healer returns. On the other hand, if it's double DPS, I pretty much get one shot. All the other classes can perma CC me, the only thing I have are fear which has 30s CD and mind control which takes me out of the fight as well, plus one hit from the other enemy and the mind control is gone. Whenever we are against druid+hunter or druid+mage, I am literally perma CCd for 20+ seconds as they kill the Rogue. It's cyclone+cyclone+cyclone+deep freeze+frost nova+polymorph+polymorph+polymorph+bash+repeat. How do you actually even play against this? xD Trinket doesn't even help, I have no idea what to do. People say Cata had the best PvP but I literally cannot move in the arena, I'm not allowed to play the game, I'm banished/stunned/silenced for 20 + seconds at a time, and when not, I'm interrupted/silenced for ~10+

Sub rog and dppriest are heavily dependent on their CC output which is tough unlike other comps you mentioned. More so, it's centred on how the rogue distributes his cc to allow you to land your ccs such as fear after stun and so on, so it's all about ccing in the right time and killing your opponent within the cc window whereas outdamaging your opponents isn't really the key strength of this comp and as for your being cced all the time, it always pays to kiss pillars and kite
