@@KilerMansters Kinda yes, but kinda no. While yes, cat is a quite selfish creature, it genuinely loves it's owner (if it's owner takes good care of it that is). Your cat feels safe when near you and really likes it when you pay your attention to it. So a death of cat's owner is a HUGE stress to it. To the point that it might have dire consequences on it's health. Some cats have even been recorded to risk their lives to help their owners during extreme situations like fires and car crashes.

My neighbour died a few months back, apparently she had been gone for awhile. From what I hear it took 20 minutes to pry her cat from her chest. It was a big maine coone and she used to sit out back with it while it roamed her backyard. Something tells me that cat layed there and died of a broken heart waiting for her to wake up. Your pets know when you're actually gone or just faking and cats are underestimated in their caring nature all the time.

It’s not a matter of caring, the cat is simply not a social person, I mean.. if u were stolen from your mother into a random family would u not care because they literately stole you from ur mother, or care for them anyways. Because we all know that so long as your heart is beating, there's nothing wrong with you that could cause you to pass out, right? Honestly, the only difference your heart beating or not is whether or not the cat would consider your body a potential food source. I don't hate cats, they simply haven't lived alongside humans long enough to develop empathy for them. They are capable of empathy for their fellow cats, so I do believe it will come with time, dogs have just had longer to evolve alongside humans.

I think you forget the fact that dogs can also recognize physical symptoms. Dogs have an amazing sense of hearing and smell. They can even detect health problems like Cancer. If a dog hears your breathing change they may alert to that fact and come to you side to check on you.

Yeaj cuz dogs dont have a great sence yk. Thats why we dont have anything like rescue dogs, nooo we have rescue cats and police cats and cat assistants for blind people bcz they have the better sence

the cats probably knew he was fine I've done this before with my cat but i held my breath, my cats started sniffing me then they pawed me and started meowing when i didn't move. Then one of them started laying down and rested her head on my arm. When I finally got up they burst into purrs and started brushing against me! Now I know my cats truly love me!! edit: mom! i'm famous!

He doesn't have to be dead. What if he just fell unconscious? Cats will still ignore him but dogs will try to help him in every possible way. Dogs >>>>>> cats.

The Dog is clearly confused like "what are you playing now?" 😂 Those animals have keen senses so they know there is nothing wrong. The Dog just doesn't know what you're doing and the cats just don't care about your crazy act 😂

I'm pretty sure the dog just wants to wake the owner up, just like cats. Both of them have good hearing, the dog is just trying to wake him up by continuous efforts out of concern meanwhile, the cat is just straight up like: "his heart is still beating, he'll eventually wake up anyways"

Because cats can sense when someone is dead

When I was sick, my cat wouldn't leave me. Had to be physically removed for comfort breaks but would quickly return after. Her daily life was on pause (or paws?) until I recovered. She knew when I was grimly poorly and felt her job was to comfort. I suspect she did not want me to be or feel alone in my misery (that and I was 24/7 wrapped in a duvet that she realised she could share?). I had a dog too that acted similar. So, I'm gonna go with the opinion, the cats are more sassy and understand humans make jokes. Dogs are simply loyal and trust us implicitly. Both pet species can be bonded to their owners and want to bring us joy.
