@@daveozip4326 please prove your statement.. based on what is it better to do that with an animal? if sentient beings suffer in a similar way they should be morally considered equally.. if your argumentation is just based on the fact that the cat has less worth just because she belongs to a different species you discriminate against her only because of her membership of a group

How the hell do you justify making an animal suffer just for a trivial reason as scientific curiosity? Animals suffer just like us.. we shouldn't abuse them for our benefit just because we can! Isn't it the moral obligation for the stronger to protect the weaker rather than abusing them? The law of equality requires to consider living being equally who suffers in the same way ...

To be fair we do the same things to humans. Unfortunately unethical things have to be done to understand the world and people will do it.

@@myg0t_jsm they don't have to be done. We decide that basic research has a higher value than the life of another. It's a question of weighing, which we answer wrongly in my opinion...
