Our mink Tonk girl does tricks too - I throw a ball, and then she watches me go and fetch it; it keeps her amused for hours!

Tonks are emminently trainable. My 20 year old Lilac point, Rachael has me completely trained!

I am just now starting to train my two Burmese with a clicker. You did great! Cats ARE trainable!

I also taught my Tonk to sit on command. I don't have to give him a treat anymore.. lol. He does it for the cuddles now...

I don't know if my cat is tonks or not. But she always have this curious and annoyed face. Now I miss her. Can't wait to go home.

Hi! I use PureBites treats. They are 100% protein, freeze dried, so they are healthy, low calorie and don't have weird additives or preservatives in them. It's just straight meat and they love the flavors!

Hi Yay. Very beautiful tonkineses. My tonkinese boy is very naughty. Never stop running and playing. Always playing outdoor and don't even want to wear a collar. It bites me often. How did you trained your cat? Do you have to start from a kitten? Thanks

@YayHeaven whoops,I didn't think,the sound of me handling them brought a very excited boy out of his slumber! The actual embroidered name's worn-I think it's Rogue but the thing is it's how you fit them that's imperative.I will get you the name in the next couple of days,in fact I'll video it for you.I need to reset up a new(real) channel anyway.I'm going thru' footage of the "kids" as I speak so I'll let you know.I have plenty of them in harness so...It's perfectly safe,all in the fitting

@OujiDarkmatter I would love to get them in harnesses!!! I have read they can slink out of them if they get spooked and I am so afraid of losing them! I may not have found the right harness yet, but it makes me so afraid to find out the hard way! Can I ask which you are using? Thanks!

Hello! They are called Platinum Mink (also known as Lilac Mink) and the other is a Blue Point.

I have 2 mixed cats. After a random comment from my massage therapist I think their mom is a Tonkinese now thanks to your videos (just with different fathers). I'll need to get some video's now because I've done stuff like this with them for a while. Instead of jump though for Wiggles, she does "Tiger" and Ginger does "Hooman" because she will never reach for the treat, only stand up like a meerkat for a good long while with her arms down. Do your cats sleep in upside down "mantis" pose in the afternoon for their deep sleep? I had never heard of Tonkinese cats before yesterday and now I think I own 1 (well, 2 x .5 Tonks) ;) (One clearly tabby father, the other, no idea) wigglesandginger.tumblr.com/

Beautiful cats -- But I would not demand they do tricks for treats - they deserve to be treated better than that... All that said, they are highly intelligent!! :)
