Nowhere did the aspirant say that a 99.9 percentile is not enough. He only mentioned that he saw a video which said you need 99.8+ and that spurred him on. Nasty clickbaiting.

for IIM ABC and other top tier colleges, your 10, 12 and Grad marks are also considered. For EX IIM A looks at all your acads, cat score etc, and say for example you were below there cutoff for even a single item like for 10th Marks, then you won't get a interview call. No matter whatever the reason for that was. There are tons of examples, many people in 99.71- 99.91 range who haven't gotten these prestigious calls

A lot of hope for you, OBC doesn't have a greater advantage as what SC & ST have, (piece of cake cut offs for them). Acads will hold you back kut getting 99+ will still get you calls from Tier 1 Colleges, FMS is one of the best shots as it doesn't give considerable weightage to Acads, and give interview calls only on the basis of CAT. For FMS your VARC percentile should be good, they give it a higher weightage.

The time when 99 was considered a safe score is years in the past. Depends on the profile but 99.5-99.7 min. There are a lot of people who haven't gotten the interview calls at 99.7.- 99.91

@@niroop87 My profile is 10th- 91, 12th- 79.6, UG- 76.3 with no work-ex. I would need 110 + out of 198 for IIM C call and 140+ for IIM B call. If I get 140 then IIM A would also call. I do not have any edge because of no work-ex and low 12th. UG scores are not considered for interview shortlisting in IIM B and C.

Nothing sounds more demotivating than this 😢

Its the reality..CAT is a scam if you are a GEM..That is the reason why applications in CAT have remained constant while in other exams they have increased.
