So helpful. I have a big problem with my cat not drinking. Have tried everything except the ice cube.

My cat is healthy and I have done all the above per my vets orders. New fountain just gets sniffed. Lol! Plenty of wet food and liquid there. I just don't get why she won't physically drink water.

Good idea with the ice cubes. I will definitely try this one when I am at work in the office or when it gets hotter again. What I also like to do is give them chicken broth, e.g. when I boil chicken hearts or offal as snacks. If there is a lot of the broth left, I freeze it in portions and heat it up in the morning. This is well received time and again :)

Ice water they love!! When you get a drink in the summer do you want just the drink or do you put ice in it? They are no different. I give them ice water twice a a day in glass bowls 10 in. Diameter and deep for ice. I also feed them dry and wet cat food. They eat out of dishes not plastic...that plastic is a mistake. Good luck!

At the same time I think you should be aware of metabolic water. When any animal consumes any food, the combustion products are water and carbon dioxide. Personally I find that towards the end of a long day at the office, a drink of water can perk me up. My battery electrolyte needs dilution.

Where did you get you litter box and water dish, and water fountain?
