The slow blink means they actually "love" you in their way. My cat will do that when she's relaxed in my lap, and I blink back at her. Cats actually understand when you blink back, so telling them "I love you too" will strengten your bonds.

Showing their belly says they are very relaxed and comfortable with their surroundings. Also slow blinking (also called lovey-eyes) can show affection.

My cat is relaxed like 60% of the time... The other 40 she's demanding love, as in biting to call my attention, jumping on top of my desk or cuddle on top of my chest when I'm laying down and mewing... She wasn't this demanding but for a year or so she has been incrementing her demands of adoration, I blame my sister's ginger who has tough her she can get more food/pets that way... >∆>

I’m very not good at reading cats... I love cats but I don’t know how to read them and they always bite me. I find dog easier to read than cats

I have had my cat for two years, he will not let me stroke him and bites me every day, he never purrs, but in his own way he appears happy. He came from a farm and I think he was feral.

What about sadness or distrust

Question why does my kitty scoop my Capet together as if it was her litter box? In a corner in my room I noticed He was doing it with my sweat pants and unused pillow cover as well. Strange

Someone help! I found a cat with a v in its ear, what does that mean? Also it seemed friendly after I stroked it softly with a stick so I went to streak it and it let me! So then, I picked it out of where it was stuck (in a bush). It jumped onto a wall and sat there and I said to it I had to go lol

If it has a "chunk" missing from its ear like it's been clipped, it might be a feral cat that has been trapped, neutered and then released back into the environment. It's called the TNR (trap, neuter, return) program to help manage feral populations. Vets clip their ears so people can tell which ones have already been fixed. We adopted a female feral cat and she has the tip of her left ear missing. Just be aware that not all feral cats are good candidates for adoption, though. Congrats on your new friend. :-)

What about a cat sitting with its back toward you? I thought that my cat was angry at me and turned away as though saying "I'm not talking with you anymore!" but someone told me he turned his back because he was actually scared!! Despite that, he always lets me pet him, maybe he's still comfortable with me whenever) I absolutely had no idea because of it!!!

my cats sit facing the other way sometimes. I always just assumed they are either looking at something or just got comfortable that way. One time my cat stared straight into the wall for like 20 minutes. THey hunt so it could be that they see something small.

My cat used to do that when he was young. Probably you make your cat scared when you're picking up or holding him because cats really doesn't like to be hold unstable. This video might be helpful for you kzread.info/dash/bejne/gXV7yNpwlaWZl6Q.html If you want to teach your cat not to bite you, best way to accomplish it is ignore him/her for a while right after he/she bite you. If your cat knows you quickly lost an interest if he/she bite you, they'll stop it sooner or later. According to my experience cats learn appropriate strength to bite as they grow older. My cat still bite me sometimes (especially when I tease him when he's not in a mood) but it's not really hurt. No bite marks no blood :D. I have the other cat but she really doesn't like to cuddle for long time (by me, especially). Probably I'm doing something wrong or she want to cuddle but not so long. It's depend on each cat.

Or your cat has just had enough and you're not reading its body language well enough to know when she wants you to stop. Cats can get overstimulated easily, and their fur is also really staticy. Sometimes they've had all the pets they want, sometimes there's just too much electricity in their fur for them to handle.

Cats' belly is their most vulnerable part, so getting them to show it to you and allowing you to touch their bellies is a big step. If your cat is bitting you strongly, it means is trying to trust you, but you're moving too fast. If the bites are playful and don't really hurt you, it means your cat just wants to play. If at any point you can touch their belly, and the cat just relax, it means they fully trust you.

I hate to see @ 0:45 the woman is forcefully flipping the cat into different positions, when obviously the cat just want to get out of it! Stop bullying!

I'm not saying I hate cats; it's just I'm more of a dog person than a cat person
