Best part of dressing up as Death for Halloween was how easy and cheap it was. Generic skull mask, hood cloak, and generic scythe prop. Bam, dressed as one of the hardest video game bosses of all time

Since Soma is fighting _against_ becoming Dracula again Death chose to kill Soma so that another "candidate" like Graham, Dario and Dmitri may take his place by becoming the new Dracula. Mind you since Soma has the Power of Dominance he ultimately *absorbs* Death's soul in both Aria and Dawn of Sorrow making him his servant once more regardless.
