Castle Crag Walk, The Lake District, English Countryside 4K

All support is hugely appreciated and it helps me keep the channel going!
No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk to the top of Castle Crag, 1 of 214 of the Lake Districts Wainwrights. It is the smallest of all the Wainwrighst at only 290 Meters. We start the walk from the village of Grange and it is a bit of a scramble getting to the top amongst all the broken slate. The views made it worth it though. A lovely walk, do enjoy.

About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to KZread. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

We love all your walks! My Mom Celia turns 100 12/4, not too long now til 100. She absolutely loves your walks! She has always wanted to go to England. The way you film, it is like we are right there! Thanks for making my old Mom happy. She has short term memory loss now. Your walks really relax her. Thank you so so much.

The Lake district is my favorite part of England. I think I stayed at Prince of Wales Hotel in Grasmere, many years ago.😊Those piles of shale looked a little slippery and dangerous. Glad you made it ok. 😊😊😊👏👏👏

Almost 20 million people visit the Lake District each year now. It has also gained World Heritage Status fairly recently...... If you watched all of the video, it's what you *don't* hear that brings many people to the Lakes.......
That is the exact word “relaxing”. It is walking and strolling through the beautiful British countryside without getting tired and enjoying the quality of the images. Raúl from Argentina in Patagonia..

From Deb in USA…I’m a new subscriber. Raised in the Air Force, my family was stationed in England for 3 years in the 60s in the Gloustershire/ Cotswold area. Britain is a bottomless pool of things to see and we did our best from Lands End to John O’Groats. But we never made it to the famous Lake District, so I was delighted to see this. I love love your channel. Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane, like with the Bibury video. I could just picture my family walking there years ago.
Thanks Dave great photography brings back happy memories for my wife and I just like we were doing the walk.

Some of them are very planned, sometimes they are very spontaneous. I don't strictly follow a plan, if I see a path that I like.. the plan goes out the proverbial window 😅 Most of the time it pays of though.
How I loved to watch this walk again! I followed exacly the same path in 2009 and have remembered it quite well, because of its beauty. I am so delighted to see nothing has changed since then. Thanks for showing us this! 🤩

Stunning views and lovely walk on this trail! I love these walks through the English countryside. So glad I found your channel. I have wanted to travel to Britain and walk the many trails there, but it is not likely to happen so these virtual hikes are fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your walks and giving us the opportunity to experience the trails virtually. I make my own videos of trails I hike in Ontario, Canada which my mom enjoys very much. She is home-bound with health issues. I have shared your channel with her too so she can enjoy walks in England. We both love the stone cottages and scenic villages of England. Thanks again!

Is the countryside cheap compared to the city?
@DavesWalks

Hmm that's really hard to say. It fluctuates wildly, Some parts of the countryside are hugely expensive, while some very cheap. Its fair to say prices rise with the demand, The more desirable the area, the higher the cost.
