Casting Jigging Spoons for Perch

Спорт

Today we're fishing for perch, though I'm using a different technique: I'm running a vertical jig, the Stingnose, but casting the lure instead of jigging it straight up and down.
This allows us to cover more ground and help entice the fish towards you. What you'll want to do is cast it out and jig it back towards you. When you get back to the boat, give a pause, and jig it a few times vertically before reeling in the jig.

Great vid Ivo. We're visiting Minnesota and used your tips for a great day on the water. We caught a freshwater drum, suckers, carp, and both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Keep it up!

I wish we had perch in abundance in my area. That looks like fun. If they averaged a little bigger

great video again and to let you know i've been doing the same method here in upstate ny on the bays off of south shore of lake ontario...and doing really well on the stingeye and like you said after a few casts it seems like you draw fish toward the boat then you seem to catch several straight down....great product and video again.

Where I live the weather turned cold and the sky gloomy and that is a sure enough sign the wicked witch of November could come early so, my gear is cleaned and in their racks till next spring and we winterized my fishing pard's boat.

Hi Ivo, I am here fishing in Seattle at a nearby lake and I've caught 32 Perch in a day. When I got home and started slitting them open I found that 90% of the fish had skeins in them. Is it safe to eat perch that are pregnant?

Yes. 32 perch in about 3 hours of fishing on inflatable boat. I bought a garmin fish finder and figured out how to interpret the fish finder to find perch on the lake. I find it easy to entice perch to bite, but I see suspended fish and don't know how to get them to bite (most of these are bass or cutt throat trout). Here perch are in over abundant and they are encouraging more people to fish for them so more natural resources can be freed up for other game fish.
