That wind was terrible yesterday. I tried shore fishing yesterday. Got a huge gust of wind right when I was casting my baitcaster and got the worst birdnest I ever got.. Ended that fishing day.. lol

We had a bunch of walleye "excrete" in the live well. Once I told my 13 year old son what is was all over him he was a little grossed out. I was laughing so hard and laying it on about fish jizz. Almost ruined walleye fishing for him. :)

was out there this weekend (terrible winds) in port clinton and i caught a few jigging 1 oz hair jigs however i feel like i couldnt hook up when i would get struck... white perch? Or do i just suck at hook sets

Lot of variables.....but especially with a 1oz and wind you hook other things and often it might not have been the mouth the hook was in...wink wink

That is impressive line strength hoisting them fish with only 6lb mono, and cold conditions Can you share the brand?

Camt as of yet...Proto type...but .011 line will generally test way above 6lb onna machine

Have you noticed bucktail jugs work better in colder temps or it's plastics mostly

Hair jigs seem to always work, but plastics in cleaner or slightly warmer water is often a pattern

@@Bigwaterfishing LOL,,, Not really,,, when the eyes move East, or farther out after spawn, we will still be jigging the deep water in the Central & East end ALL SUMMER. 50' - 70' OW. The HOGS are on the bottom 70' + ;>) Look up Conny's party boat,, the PC Queen, & the pics & limits it listed from last years DRIFTING & JIGGING.
