This is the best Korean historical drama I’ve seen in at least 5 years. Fast-paced, funny but also deep and emotional, with a lot of bold social/political commentaries (which I think are still relevant today).

Shin Se Kyung is such an amazing actress. I dont know of other dramas she has been in but in this one she has been killing it so far. Every emotion was clearly portrayed with depth. I felt it.

Adore this drama and everyone’s chemistry, especially the leading couple. 1:10 the way cha eunwoo looks at her as he compliments her and how shy Shin Saekyeong looks and then his laugh. So sweet!

Here I am, watching it again for the umpteenth time. It's my favorite drama. I don't understand the strange people who claim that Eunwoo can't act. He STOLE that show. His acting was impeccable. He WAS the prince. Entirely believable.

This is the best drama ever. And seeing Eun-woo & Shin just being an adorable couple on the set together is so heartwarming. I love them. And I live for Park too. He is awesome as Jin. I love the drama already! I've never been into kdramas, let alone historical ones, but this one is really fun to watch. It's got comedy (which i love) and drama so well balanced and as they said it is really well-rounded! i love it a lot!

The three were very good in their roles. I specially enjoyed Ms. Shin Se Kyung’s performance in this drama. She also gave a good impression on her acting since the drama Bride of the Water God. Look forward to your next project.

Such a great drama and all of the actors did a great job. I initially started watching because of Cha Eun-woo and am now officially a fan of Shin Sae-kyeong and Park Ki-woong as well. What a great cast!

You know ,I watched Korean drama for a long time now but this drama OMG... i cried , i laughed LOL and scream..love Goo Hae-Ryung she's so natural ..i cried with her when she's w/ Prince Dowon and Cha Eun-woo he is a good drama actor ..And all the Actors and Actresses in this .Thank you so much the people behind the scene thanks too.

Congratulations to both leading actress and actor Shin Se-kyung and Cha Eun-woo and all the supporting actors like Park Ki-woong and the whole cast and crew. Great work by directors Kang II-soo and Han Hyun-hee. I've watched this series twice and I'll do it again soon. Best wishes from France.

One of the best period kdrama I’ve seen! Everything about it was so entertaining and emotional. The acting from the lead actors to the secondary actors was top notch. I especially enjoyed the chemistry between Cha Eun Woo and Shin Sae kyeoung. So much talent I can see why kdramas are so popular around the world.

My suggestion to The Swoon - have the episode scenes & the subtitle of what the actors are reacting/saying in different fonts & colours. Like Ep subtitle in white on top, actors reaction in yellow on bottom or as part of cc.

Love this drama! Cha Eun Woo and Shin Sae Kyeong looks good with each other, they have a great chemistry and lovely story.

Goodness I love this show! The actors are all giving 200%! I was crying so bad when Hae-Ryung had to tell the only man she loves that she doesn’t feel the same when it was a lie!

This is an amazing drama with a great casting.

Who among u find the crown prince handsome and he can act well. He looks different without the beard and stubble. I like his eyes and smile.

I am constantly amazed at these wonderful female characters coming out of Korean television. Shin Se Kyung was truly amazing in The Bride of Habaek and with Rookie Historian, she shows excellent comedic timing. Kim Tae-ri, from Mr. Sunshine was also such a strong woman -- these are women we can aspire to be. Honorable, Empathetic and fearless, such inspirational characters.

Been watching "Rookie Historian" and enjoying it very much. I am captivated by the interesting characters, intriguing plot, intricate period costumes, beautiful production sets, and, of course, the gorgeous performers. Shin Se-Kyung is the right choice of actor to play Goo Hae Ryung. She exhibits grace, charm, and beauty. Shin Se-Kyung is able to portray her character as a proud, principled noblewoman who combats blatant injustices and chauvinism. Those are traits to be much admired. Her character is one for which real-life individuals need to be in today's society. Goo Hae Ryung is not invincible. She is vulnerable to isolation and loneliness. She feels suffocated. Just made it through the scene where Goo Hae Ryung (Shin Se-Kyung) sobs immensely while in Prince Dowon's residence. Prince Dowon can relate to that loneliness. Quite an emotional scene. Demonstrates Shin Se-Kyung's adeptness and versatility in portraying complex characters. Only recently discovered this actor when she starred in "High Kick 2."

Love love this drama watched it so many times I can tell the hole story without subtitles....its funny, its emotional and most of all the fl played a no nonsense roll wat we rarely find in these drama....

You see in each episode how he develops into a strong willed and brave prince that has me cheering him on . ShinSeKyung is as always perfect 👌 in her role. Lastly, Park Ki Woong aced his character 👏👏 This story is riveting with many intricate mysteries to be solved 🎬 . It’s definitely one you have to pay attention, to not miss an important clue. 🙆🏻‍♀️. ❌⭕️❌⭕️

I was really impressed by Eun Woo’s acting in this drama, he was able to deliver every emotion effortlessly but also his comic timing was on point which is not always easy.
