I own a shop not far from Fantom works and I pass by it a couple times a week and it still looks just like it did on the show still. I know a few people who know Dan personally and he is a great guy.

Dan is the real deal! I am sorry the show was cancelled, but I understand and wish Dan and his people the very best in the future!

FYI Dan did NOT make a fortune from the show, I just saw an interview were he said he LOST a million bucks on the show!......and the show wasn't "cancelled" he let the contract run out....and is now making his OWN show...

I worked at Fantomworks and may be familiar to some people reading my comment. There’s only three things in this video that is actually true. Dan owns Fantomworks, Melissa is his wife and she does work hard and Heidi is a good dog and that’s just about it aside from Dan being the one the end the show. Nothing else in this video is true. Btw who is Wayne and Andy? Because the people you showcased while mentioning those names are not Andy or Wayne.

Well, since I am the WAYNE they are talking about in the video, I can assure you that there are some false statements made. Would be nice if someone would reach out for information instead of assuming. They didn't even show Andy or myself on the video. What a joke.

He came in one day and packed up his tools and quit. I live 15 minutes from the shop and know a guy who worked there; he told me about all the drama in the shop.

They should have used documentary film makers rather than directors.

I love the show I watch it every night here in the UK. Well when I say night it's on at 4am I've just watched it actually.. Episode with. 64 corvette and a 69 camero... Best thing about the show is Audrey tho she's a babe lol

I like his work ethic. If you're going to do something, do it right. And it's true. No one wants their second or third generation corvette to be looking like a patchwork quilt. That goes for any vehicle really, but the corvette was an example. Dan seems to be trustworthy too. When you see shops out west who say they can do a full teardown and rebuild in a week, that's scary. How many corners did they cut? Probably all of them. Dan doesn't do that. He had some vehicles in his shop for3-5 years getting made right. When you pay attention to the details and what problems the vehicle comes in with, the vehicle will come out better than most people even imagined it being.

I dont think Dan made any real money making the show! he had to delay his work and take alot of his and his people's time with retakes and setting up shots Dan has said the show was more trouble than it was worth! its a shame that reality car shows do not pay the talent like regular TV shows because they have just as many viewers and make just as much money for the network ! Dan is doing a new show but he will be in control of it this time!

If you don’t have aleast 100 thousand dollars in the bank don’t take your car to this place and car restoration can sometimes be expensive

Being one of the only persons in the shop from before the beginning, to end of the show, whoever did this video needs to do some serious fact checking. Nothing in this video is true. As a matter of fact, nothing on most of the show was real,other than the work we put in, yes maybe 50% of the cars built were actual customer's cars, but the other half, go do a tour of the shop, there's a reason they are all still sitting there, years later.. but beyond that, the people you are associating with faces are not even the people you are talking about, the fist person you brought up was Andy, but yet, he's nowhere to be found in this video... Let me explain a few things that this video talks about, and give some inside insight. Yes Dan made a fortune on the show, last I heard was to the tune of 250k per season, but NO he most certainly NEVER shared that wealth with his employees. To my knowledge not a single person ever got anything past our VERY low hourly wage. I was there for 7 years, from beginning to the end of the show, I saw a TON of people come and go thru the shop, yes the turnover rate was insane, but all for the same reason....the guy that ran the shop, plain and simple. Never in my life have I seen such an egomaniac with a child's temper, and no one wanted to deal with him. I could go on and on about the disaster that shop is, but I think you get the point. You want to know where are the "cast" of the show now? We are as far away from that shop as possible, we are all very happily doing our own things, and we are all still very salty about how we were used for Dan's financial gain. If you put 99% of the people used in this video in front of Dan....pretty sure he'd be laid out on the floor in short order. I will say this....all the EMPLOYEES that I had the pleasure of working with while there, were all bright eye'd, and we (almost) all were there for the same reason....we all wanted to build nice cars, the only thing holding any of us back....was the person who's initials are on the building. And Dan, should you ever read this...eff you. 30 years of building all sorts of cars and motorcycles.....you are BY FAR the biggest d-bag I have ever worked for. But before you try a lawsuit over me saying that....remember, I never signed a single waiver to be filmed, ever, but you made millions off doing it anyway.

Would never take a car there. Go in for a brake job, $50,000 and 6 months later you get your car back. Watch this show though many episodes. The one that broke me, his friend came in to do a 65 mustang shelby mustang and was talking fiberglass front end ( shelby) and Dan said “ we don’t do fiberglass “ ummmmm excuse me. How many Vetts have you done. 63 split window top, fiberglass, vett with body joints showing, redo, FIBERGLASS!!!! yeah, we don’t do fiberglass. Your car is gonna get done the way he wants it done. Plan on losing your car for a year plus and $100,000 bill. I will no longer watch this show. Rip off!!!!!
