I wash my tongs about 6-7 times when I cook chicken.
I looked at three other recipes first. Your' one was SO much easier. I did not want to have to light the oven and am really pleased how these thighs turned out. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for this recipe and Definitely looks good to cook
I made this yesterday for dinner and it was the MOST delicious chicken i have ever had! Thankyou!
It’s obvious that you have done this a few times with success. The presentation was clear, methodical and there was no phony “showbiz” embellishment.

Great thing about cooking in cast iron is it will help hold your food warm, you can just pop it into a low oven. Great recipe!

Looks great! Another good seasoning to use with chicken is 'Old Bay' seasoning.

It takes some practice, but I'm sure next time will be better! Maybe turned down your stove a little.
For medium-high what temperature would you say that pan was at? I’m scared I’ll burn the crap out of my chicken if I leave it like you said for 15 minutes
🙌🙌🙌🙌 thank you

How much heat slow.medium.fast.required for cooking chicken thighs?
Did you reheat the chicken at all since three of the thighs were on the cooling rack for 25 min?
Thanks great vid. I assume these cook longer due to the thickness of the thighs?
@jacquiesmith3165
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think so. You can also use a meat thermometer if you like (about 170°F).
I’ve seen other videos cook the skin side down til crispy and then place the chicken thigh in the oven rather than cook the other side on the pan. Do you reckon the way you showed is more beneficial? Or are there instances where cooking the other way are better?
@jacquiesmith3165
2 жыл бұрын
I have done it that way as well. If you're afraid that the skin will burn, putting it in the oven would be good.
Does this work with steel pan?
Thumbs up

Looks delish- what cast iron skillet did you use?
@jacquiesmith3165
2 жыл бұрын
It's Emeril Lagasse cast iron skillet.
How much oil do you use ?
I’ve used this recipe twice. Both times the flavor was great but the exterior was not close to being crisp. I followed the recipe to the letter. What am I doing wrong?
What temperature was it?
@jacquiesmith3165

Medium heat on the stove dial.
Temperature?
The background music reminds me of another genre of videos.....
really nice, so odd to have chicken that's got flavour
what if the chicken is already marinated

You may need to cook it on a lower temperature to make sure that it doesn't burn. It's trial and error sometimes.
