This track still touches my heart. My dad was presently absent and I had to look for him around me even though we slept in the same house. Too strict and a bully as well. He's a good man, with good qualities. So I cant sing this song for him, but when I think about my new-born, whom is 2 months old now I know what not to do.

But, a boy child being raised by a mom and gran is a problem. Didn't realize till my 30s that I wasn't carrying myself the way a man "ought to" and it affected my personal and professional relationships. I know better now of course but, damage is done.

Life was never easy on both my sister and I regarding our dad, but old man tried his best. Only today it dawns on me that he did what he did for us financially & physically but emotionally we still struggle a lot. I’m grateful he is around though, he did what he thought was best.
