Cassiopeia by Shabutie
Музыка
Lyrics:
Why?
Why?
Wide open...
Wide, oh...
Why? Open...
Cassio, could you love me more? More?
Can we be friends?
On a journey to Tibet
I call "freedom"
Words unsung
Hold me close
Don't let the wind follow
Don't let the wind take us away
Cassio...
What the fuck - Would you do anything to work out all wrong?
It's my freedom
Cassio! Cassio!
Cassio...
Can you stomach what I've done, oh, to your soul?
To your soul?
Can we drown?
Getting caught in muddy waters?
Ooh and go down
Ooh forever in doubt
Hold me close
Don't let the wind follow
Don't let the wind take us away
Cassio...
What the fuck - Is anything worth it at all?
It's my freedom
Cassio! Cassio!
Never let me go!
She's been higher
It's my fault!
She never let up
It's my lonely year, its the only salvation
Ooh yeah, it's my final request
Going down... Down
Going down...
My fault, no we're going down!
Bye, we're crashing down, down, down
Oh we're crashing down, down, down
Oh we're crashing down, down, down
Oh we're crashing down, down, yeah...
Going down... Down
Yeah
Now I know your higher, down
Mm bye Cassio...
Cassio...
Bye Cassio
Bye Cassio...

I recorded these Shabutie demos back in the 90s. I just recently discovered how big they became and I'm so happy to hear these tracks again and happy to see these demos are part of what they have out there. This song Cassiopeia did not stick out to me at the time but it's one of my favorites now out of the demos

I remember always getting out of Spanish class for a bathroom break and then playing this song and walking around the empty hallways. The memory is so foggy and that makes me sad but listening to this song reminds me it was once real.

Same I’d walk home for miles taking busses and just passively observe life with shabutie in my ears. So it instantly brings me back
One of the few songs I can listen to over and over for the rest of my life
i love this song so much. I love music with emotion put into it and in this you can feel his feelings with every note man. One of my favorite songs of all time.
I never listen to Casiopeia on my way to work or while doing the dishes. I only listen to it after 1am, with all the lights off. It reminds me that I don't just live in a world where work and family and responsibility exists, I don't even live in a world where just those things and songs like The Suffering and Welcome Home exist. I also live in a world where Casiopia by Shabutie Exists. Its special and it should be treated that way. This song is so amazing but can't be cheapened by a drive to work.
who could imagine a man in the life could sing something like this? something so beautiful, something so full of fantasy and love
I hadn't listened to this song in at least 6-8 years until the Funny or Die Scalia dissent video made me think of it. Annnnndddd its the summer of 2003 in my mind again. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Man coheed really needs to re record this classic. It was one of the first songs I ever heard back when they were shabutie. It still holds up.

This band has forgotten more great songs than most have written. It's amazing.
2020:)
This has remained one of my favorite underrated songs. Like it's not one I have in downloads or think about often but I always come back to it at certain times in my life where it fits perfectly... It's a beautiful song
This song makes me cry plus I did just get out of relationship and listening to Claud helps.. :) This band is not just a band to me

Hello from 2021
All 6 times I have seen them I prayed they would play this....they teased it once :(
A gorgeous melodic foreshadowing of things to come...
Love Claudio Sanchez. I've seen him & COCA 4 times already. Planning on see COCA again this coming April in Dallas TX.
This song is one of the best ones I've heard it has such a raw sound
It really took awhile to let this one sink in, but now it will forever by one of my favorites.
This song makes you feel emotions you didn't think you could feel. Up there with comfortably numb and welcome to the machine by Pink Floyd

Kyle Pierce really the only way to explain it right there, man. It’s amazing.
This is a good example of a song that will legitimately never get old.
It has been 7 years since we departed and ended our 6 yr relationship. You’re my first love and you’ll always have that special part in my heart. You introduced me to Shabutie and Coheed. Up until now, I still listen to them. We both have separate lives and I’m sure it’s the greatest thing that we have done, to grow apart. Thank you again for introducing me to amazing bands. 🎈

2023!!
Probably the most soothing/emotional male voice ive ever heard
Just a quick heads up to everybody, if you've been collecting Shabutie songs and have come across a song called "untitled", then its not technically a Shabutie song. It's a recording of an early acoustic version of Mother Superior from 2006.
After a rough day of school, laying on my back in my room with both skull candy earbuds in at full blast…god times where easier 😞
The song that inspired me to write my story and give the main character her name! Thank you Shabutie!
