What's crazy is that he's gotten away with it for so many years that he may genuinely be in denial that he ever did these things. I've seen stories of men who committed a crime but kept it a secret for so many years that they genuinely psychologically start to believe that they didn't do it, and so can even pass a lie detector test because to themselves they aren't lying. That's why there's his side, her side, and the truth. Even these abusers suffer from trauma through their own actions and actually fvck up their own brains just to keep from hating their own selves

So many of us never get an apology, never get the money we've lost, nor the sense of safety CASSIE has received. I'm very happy to see justice for her. But most of us have a story like mine. Im a current victim of DV. I can honestly say ALOT of people do not give af. My own Uncle has a multiple bedroom house and plenty money...the only help he offered me was chastising me asking why did I go back?! I got stalking, phone calls, and a group of men in my area upholding abuse....a huge intimidating factor! These DV shelters hoard women who are hurt and leave them to lashout, verbally attack, and trauma dump on each other....the shelters have counseling you have to wait on, resources you have to wait on, and very few can help you get back and forth to work to build up your bread. You have to ask if you can eat, wait for someone to bring you food, deal with a curfew....so it's not really like you get your dignity back their either..you got wait for it. The employees at the shelter act like they are God and just did you the biggest favor - versus understanding if you didnt have to be there you wouldn't be. It takes months in court for the trial. It takes lots of care and compassion and SOOOO many people just don't have time, heart, or adequate resources to really help you. Going back to a job, a house, a situation to appease someone versus opening your mouth to tell and get help often makes more sense because DV victims are scared of and humiliated by the things abusers do. Its like making a choice of which option of undignified treatment will you choose!

You must have a really tiny mind. It's not unwashed for her to keep wearing to remind her of Diddy or for her to smell it and get off on it. She's a victim of sexual assault, she has kept it as evidence waiting for the day that she would have enough courage to speak up and for him to have fallen off of his pedestal and have a weak enough point where she could stand on and have people actually believe her. Unwashed clothes and items are responsible for solving cold cases from decades ago. Cassie didn't speak out for over 10 years because she thought no one would believe her. The model is from 20 years ago, people would definitely not have believed her then either. Also, there was a lot of shame surrounded in being a victim of sexual assaults. Which is really freaking sad. It would be great for her if they are able to actually pull evidence off of those close to help with other people's cases. Since her statue of limitations has passed, that's all she can really hope for
