i think the saddest part about this was that cassie never apologised or owned her actions; she continued to walk with nate proudly in school even after she knew how much she hurt maddie. the fact that maddie really loved cassie, even more than nate shows that she was a real friend and she deserved so much more!

Sweetheart did you actually watch that scene of her and Nate walking in the hallway together? I did, and she didn’t even look happy….she looked bored, and even upset….she didn’t look happy, or proud. To me, it seems like it’s not even Nate that she wanted, she just wants someone to love her and unfortunately Nate kind of did that, but he’s abusive and manipulative and Cassie just hasn’t experienced his true behavior for herself yet. You wanna say that she never apologized, or took accountability for her actions but considering that that’s something she needs to be taught, and she’s also a teenager in high school…..wouldn’t it make sense for her parents to teach her that? Suze as her mother is supposed to teach Cassie right from wrong, and she’s supposed to be a mother to her, and unfortunately the only time we ever saw that actual mother-daughter bond was in Season 1 when they were going to a family party and Cassie was feeling insecure about her body, and Suze told her that she’s perfect and when Cassie got pregnant and needed and abortion. Cassie does need to take accountability 100%, but she also needs to be taught how to do that, and how to apologize for her actions…..that’s something that her own mother needs to teach her as a parent. Plus did it ever occur to you that she couldn’t do it, because other than Maddy and Kat sometimes….Cassie has never experienced a loving and positive relationship with any women? Her mother is an alcoholic who gives 0 shits about her, and her own little sister hates her for something that’s out of Cassie’s control….So did it ever occur to you, that Cassie couldn’t apologize because of that reason? That she has never experienced love and positivity from a woman within her own home, and family which makes it hard for her to have female friendships? Think about all of that. Obviously Cassie was in the wrong, but think about everything I said…….

Okay let’s just say *masterpiece* This is the first Nate/Maddy/Cassie edit I’ve seen that I’ve loved no lie. Good work ❤️

wow! I thought I was the only one who noticed this. It was well demonstrated in the scene where she's all dressed in pink and gives Maddy a superior look as if to say "I beat you, I'm better than you". And the fact that Cassie never apologized and instead insulted her in the play speaks volumes about her quality as a human being.

i saw people saying we don’t blame nate enough so i have to say this. trust me, A LOT of people blame nate, but its the fact that cassie is HER BEST FRIEND. she knows maddy better than anyone else in this world and had the audacity to do that to her. we expect this behavior from nate (not justifying just stating a fact) but who would YOU feel worse about?? losing your someone who’s like a sister to you, was there for you when your parents are fighting (letting you sleep in their bed etc.,) and sat there listening to you talk about your toxic ex and consoling you, or your toxic ex?? i think being more mad with cassie is extremely justified, personally. you expect loyalty from your best friend. not your ex.

I think it's because his mind's messed up from watching the video with Jules and his dad. Right after he imagines him with Jules, he sees himself in bed and his dad on top. So all this is intertwined in his mind and he's having mixed dreams about it.

She wanted to be validated and to feel loved ..but in a way I think she wanted to be "Maddy" . I think she has her insecurites and plus daddy issues. with the way the episode ended last night I think their friendship is over..and cassie is lost . hopefully Maddy will talk some sense into her as her ex best friend and tell her that Nate is no good for her. You can't help but feel sorry for cassie in a way.

The part where Maddy was crying over Cassie at the door was heartbreaking. Cassie doesn't deserve those tears. If she was a real woman she would have faced Maddy and told her everything from her own mouth face to face. Cassie even left her family for Nate! She's so far gone and messed up, it's really sad.

Hands down THE BEST 👏👏👏 and the song just fits RiGhT.... All the parallels drawn makes me feel not only for both Maddy and Cassie at individual level but also about their dynamics together!

I’ve been betrayed and lost my best friends and been cheated on, the list goes on I’m happy this show talks about it happens too much damages our souls. This made me emotional this is talent to the editor and show

This video is pure art. First of all, all the clips go perfectly with the song and succeed the others in a smooth and almost cinematic way, and the final result really conveys the huge mix of emotions derived from the life experiences of Maddy and Cassie. Everything is just so touching and heartbreaking since we can see the same toxic patterns repeated by both of them, treated the same horrible way by the same person, and the way Cassie's insecurities and actions made their wholesome bond fall apart. We have a deja-vu of their friendship which has now disappeared and of the miserable relationship with Nate. Moreover, when they both cry over the same person at the end, running beside him together I seriously got chills. It's amazing.

This edit is so good. Personally I think Cassie is a very realistic character with depth, I was troubled as a teenager and I see bits of my old self in her. It hurts but it's comforting in a strange way. Now, without justifying her actions, I do think both her and Maddie are victims at the end of the day and I feel for them (victims can make mistakes too, a victim doesn't have to be 100% innocent)

Just human. Maybe in the future she will learn from her mistakes. People have problems and deal with them in different ways. Her way is far from being the best way, but it is the way that works for her to feel less empty.
