Even with the same VA. There's a very noticeable difference between Huey and Hal, Huey is more whiny, while Hal has more sass and confidence

Otakon might be a bit of a whiner too, but the difference is he's always self blaming. Huey on the other hand is constantly blaming others or pointing the finger, and especially can't take any responsibility for himself, even if he genuinely is at fault.

Hal is a much better than his father .. talk about carrying the sins of the father

They should of exiled him sooner once they learned he vape's.

We see that he ruined his son's life by killing his mother that he never met. In MGS2 we understand that Otacon mention that his father tried to dragged his stepsister Emma with him while drowning which Otacon freaked out after all of that and Emma got upset at him for not saving her and almost drowned with Huey.

What I meant is how did this character become what he is in V. He went from someone with an intense feeling of responsibility about nuclear deterrence because of his experiences (Something Hal inheirited) to being completely fine with war as a business with untold casualties for honestly no reason other than he's crazy and has a mad ego after murdering his wife, for again no real reason. I think they were just trying to say Huey was completely mentally ill in V. Or that he just lied about every single thing ever. Which i just don't understand given how he is here in peace walker. Yes I know what he did after the events of PW and V. That he became this downtrodden suicidal wreck. But I had thought that was because of his wife. She quite literally ruined the family by seducing Hal. Huey found that out and drowned himself in the pool. This was YEARS after V. 10+ years. There's no real hints that Huey would ever become the man he is in V. That he would sell out MSF. Betray them for XOF/Cipher. That he would go back to making weapons for war. That he'd KILL strangelove. Some people say he did it because he was the mole for cipher. But wasnt that miller? Kaz admits to being a mole in the last main cutscene of PW. V felt like a reboot or an alternate reality to all these characters. I'm disappointed thinking about what V could've shown us from this crew had they been the people they were.
