#1 The Friendly Ghost* (released on November 16th, 1945)
Casper runs away from home and the other ghosts there to explore the world and make friends. After unintentionally scaring away several different animals, he decides to end it all by laying on the railroad tracks in front of a speeding locomotive. Failing that, two children, Bonnie and Johnny, find him crying on the tracks and befriend him.
*note: Mouse named Herman from Herman and Katnip make cameo appearance.
#2 There's Good Boos Tonight (released on April 23rd, 1948)
While Casper's not-so-friendly ghostly comrades awaken to go on a haunting spree, Casper leaves the graveyard to go out and make friends. He finds Ferdie Fox and plays with him. In a rare dramatic moment, the foxhunters shoot and kill Ferdie. After Casper buries him, Ferdie emerges from the grave as a ghost fox. A happy ending to a tragic moment in Casper's life, and a very moving cartoon.
#3 A Haunting We Will Go (released on May 13rd, 1949)
Casper is a dunce in school because he won't scare anyone. He hatches a duck egg and calls the baby duck Dudley.
