oh that is great. I do like the old blinking hour minute divide colon and I was hoping the new one would blink.

After finishing this I checked again and the LED backlight was working fine, I just couldn't see it while I was looking in the light box from behind the camera. Also called the light box a vent hood twice... 😅

That white dial qw02 is really cool! Must be really rare, as well. Can't even find any pictures of that watch online. Wonder how many of those are out there from 1974?

Thanks, yeah the white waffle dial is awesome! I'm pretty sure a reissue of that is coming up.

Hello Paul, I need your help. I was very lucky to get a 02-501 (blue display). Unfortunately there are no batteries included. What size are the two batteries? Greetings Stefan

You want 386 (SR43) cells. Renata is what I would recommend. Cheers, hope it fires up for you. If so, please drop some pictures on WatchUSeek or on reddit at r/casiovintage !

One big query. What does that 3.16 means on the screen?

That is the date displayed as MM.DD. You can reverse the format on this module.

Is the lume working? I was fortune enough to find one available on Casio authorised dealer's website. Now I am a bit concerned.

Actually the backlight was working fine. I just couldn't see it in the bright LED lights of the photography light box.

How high quality is the bracelet itself?

The bracelet on the new TRN-50 is well done. It's got nice fit and finish and uses pin and collar connections. I've got to prefer pin and collar but it's been a long times since I dealt with learning to adjust them. The end links match the factory links and stand out from the lugs like the originals. One thing I recall is that it was difficult to drive the pins through the first joint in the links and I had to be patient with getting it lined up.
