The octave switch is the reason I have held out on purchasing a mini keyboard. I hope this will be a permanent feature of ALL brands of mini keyboards--they are handy.

I love when Casio updated the new kids keyboard piano sound.

I think I'm going to pick one up for my son. Granted it's not touch sensitive but the sounds are much better than older models.

It would be awesome if these little pianos had midi support! i mean, it would be perfect for it!

Casio SA series much reliable and better build quality keyboard compare to Yamaha PSS A50, E50, F50. I bought Yamaha A50 last year and after a month it's broken for no reason. Yamaha PSS A50 has bad body shell quality with cheap and fragile plastic. Meanwhile my Casio SA46 which I bought the same day, is still working fine until today.

Is this good for beginners wanting to learn how to play piano?

Sorry about a long answer, but it’s hard to say just yes or no. 😊 When it comes to learning about chords and the absolute basics I would say yes. But piano, it depends. If you think “being able to play on a real piano” : no! On a piano you can go from very low to very high notes by just hitting the keys. On this you have to press a button to shift the whole keybed. Definitely not the same. And it’s not velocity sensitive, which means that you can’t vary the volume by hitting harder/softer. And the keys on a piano are harder to press down.

Labelling a keyboard with notes is like labelling each letter of every word in a primary reader with the sound it makes. There's no need.

This looks like updated sa 46. At least rhytms and tones have slightly better quality. Btw Very irritating piano background music in this tutorial (and not coming from this one).

Can I trade mine for this updated version?

Better but not really new, the Yamaha PSS-A50 is a different league and much better.

Hate to be a complainer but this tutorial could be so much better and the music between each sample is incredibly annoying. I love Casio and this is a cool little unit but the demo stinks.

I totally agree. That was just confusing. The point of a video like this should be to show what it can do. Instead we got some elevator music with small snippets of the sound from this nice little keyboard.
