Hi , I have a W-96 purchased in 2003 and although it has been damaged externally by the passage of time it still works perfectly and with the original CR2025 battery , 21 years with the same battery!!! ⌚😮 . Greetings from Barcelona!!

Snap!! I bought a NOS one of these at a car boot recently. It was packaged up back when these Casios came on a branded display stand which is a bonus. Sometimes wonder why I buy these bargain Casios but they are so cheap why not?

Great watch, picked one up from Argos when on offer for £12. Pretty good back light which was unexpected for the price. Much better than an F91w light as you can see both hour and minutes.

It sure is and the main reason I mentioned the backlight was because of the fact that there was very little to dislike + it is 2024, surely electroluminescence should be used ‘as standard’ 👍👍

@@WatchtheTime I understand what you’re saying but for the price of the watch I don’t think you can expect too much more.

The W-96 is a great daily watch for men and women. Simple, legible display, good backlight and a decent range of functionality, plus easy to clean and reasonably hard wearing. I have one as my own daily and recommend it.

It’s a great little watch. I go by Russel from Mad Watch Collector, “Casios don’t count” when we’re talking about the collection so you can have as many Casios as you want. Ha! Thanks for the great review!

I have a g shock dw-5600bb, wear it often. This would be a nice addition, especially when i need a really easily visible display. Really has all the functionality anyone would generally need. Thanks for a great review!

It sure does have about as much functionality as you could ever need mate and at a very modest price 👍👍

I purchased this great watch 8 months ago. It has the Casio 3239 module. Casio claim accuracy of about 30 sec a month. It is in fact far more accurate than that. Using a radio controlled DCF clock as reference, I consistently measure an accuracy of ~7 sec a month! Superb accuracy for modest money.

In all probability the battery will outlast the band. With that, and the gaskets likely being shot, the watch should just be replaced. Vostok outright says their watches are intended to be used for 10 years.

Your daughter has great taste:) If Gerald Genta made a watch for Casio it would look like this I reckon. Great proportions, nicely framed display, ergonomic buttons, integrated strap to watch head. Its got a kind of timeless retro futuristic vibe going on. I imagine it would work great in a Blade Runner type movie looks wise with its year indicator especially (I'm not aware of many watches that tells the year). This under the radar Casio is one of the best beater watches money can buy IMO. I didn't mind the light source more how long its on for but guess its to save power and can always press again if sleepy eyed. My Cons were the fragile looking plastic clasp and 50m WR but then it wouldn't be as svelte on the wrist and for £10 (Nov Argos sale) its never gonna be perfect! I did watch a vid where you can mod this module to have a countdown timer function as well, not that i'd bother. The No 1 factor to me in watch design is legibility and this really has that, its tells the time well. £10 perfection:)

Good review of a great watch 👍 It looks pretty good and is a better size for most wrists than the tiny digitals. I just got my first DW5600e for £50 from Amazon, Casios are brilliant aren't they? 😁

@@WatchtheTime to be fair I wear it for work, manual job, if just worn casual it may fair better....

This is a good watch but compared to F-91. It's viewing angles are not the best amd accuracy is less. I would suggest the W-86 over this
