Overengineered has a negative connotation. Even software engineers, like myself, use it to mean, "You overcomplicated it when it could've been simpler." You use this term at least twice in this video, and I think you're trying to say it's much nicer and has a lot of attention to detail than other pianos. Terms you could use: well-engineered, well-designed, thoughtfully designed, beautiful, high quality.

100% agree!

Gen-X here & been playing electronic keyboards forever. Casio used to be known for such 'low-end' consumer products, & today, well talk about a cinderalla story - They have managed to produce some of the finest, higher-end consumer keyboards that pay homage to traditional Piano - Salut! They have found their niche, & have pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in audio history IMO.

Easiily could have been done better, maybe put it on a session on one of your tracks, hire somebody playing it for 2 minutes, talking about it and having some other video of that piano, but not this, we love you, you can do better

Great video and overview. Think either the line level or room mic for the piano was set too hot as the piano sound was clipping a bit.

How will you compare this keyboard with the STUDIOLOGIC SL 88?

Hi, Can you please help me? (I called the music store I bought it from and Casio tech support, and I could not talk to anyone who ever played the model) I have the Casio PX-S7000. When the volume is at max, I can hear myself talk. It’s low in headphones too. Best way to describe how loud the speakers are (when you have a piano selected and the volume is at MAX) is its a good volume to sing over (without a mic). Like an acoustic guitars volume when strummed. I still have a Casio PX-135, and comparing them side by side, the PX-135 is slightly louder than the S7000…. But the 135 is a 12 watt speaker system and the S7000 is 35 watts Do you think it’s defective, and I should send it back, or is that how low the volume is on these? I can’t see a sinario where anyone would ever play this without the volume maxed out or 75%…. By the way, if I stream songs over Bluetooth to it from my phone, the songs are much louder… Thanks so much for your time!,

Thanks for the review. I like how you spotlight each port on the back of the keyboard and discuss the engineering of the stand. If someone is interested in strictly piano practice, they might check out the px-s5000. You get the same keybed/action as the 7000 with less functionality (23 sounds with midi/audio recording onboard) priced at more than half off the 7000. A bargain. That said, the 7000 is a deep keyboard (regarding functionality) that few reviews fully showcase.

all these digital pianos are fantastic , but kawai es920 it;s the most piano like imho !

I hope you're not serious.... 🤔 This video is intended to be a review, but.... NO sound !! (ok, just a simple chord) I would prefered have a little demo of the sound instead of questionning on what is the material used for the black keys that make them seems as real wood.... So, in the same kind of thinkin, he can also call someone to compose music when needed.... as he finaly seem not to be a keyboardist nor musician either... sorry, it’s just based on a finding.
