Casio PRO TREK PRG340-3 Outdoor Watch -- DEMO & REVIEW
Ғылым және технология
You don't have to be heading on a two-week trek through the uncharted wilderness to find the new PRO TREK PRG340 outdoor watch a great device on your wrist! Between its newly redesigned compass to barometer, altitude, temperature, timers, world time, and more, it's a very useful addition to any wrist. Better yet, if you're seeking to unplug from your tech, it's also a non-smartwatch, with no Bluetooth, no 5G, no wifi. No phone needed! Feature tour and review by watch aficionado Dave Taylor.

I think you're probably winning the smartest people on here describing these watches and walking us through on how they function and how they work first of all I want to wish you a happy holiday and thank you so much for sharing and walking us through each function of the watch I think you're awesome I subscribe to your video thank you again 👍💕🏆🏆🏆
Nice video sir.
Just like the prw 3500-1 you can see the time on it without wearing my glasses which I think it's a plus Casio needs to make big watches with big numbers on it which I think is great Casio stepping up your game 👍

Yes the watch looks very good on your wrist it sure does it's a nice big watch you can see it I'm glad Casio is making them bigger the numbers on it I'm old and I can see it without putting my glasses on which I think is a plus
Loved it! I just loved the way you reviewed it, so calm and relaxing! 🙂I wish you were my neighbor.
good video, brief comment, when you actuate the baro/compass/altimeter function it would be helpful if you had used your other hand so you don't obscure the face.

valid. I realized that after I recorded that segment. Next time! 🙂
So just different colors than? Also is it the Climber model. I have the Casio Pathfinder from 2008. It finally broke & tried calling Casio and they told me they don't make that anymore. So I need another one for 2023 & this looks like the one I need. ⌚ & like my Pathfinder, does the face display go to sleep or turn off to save battery life?
Excelente Magnífico Obrigado
I hope the build quality is as good as the PRW3500 which has blown me away being my first Protrek.
👍
I have this watch, but altimeter is not stable, for example I correct it, as 30 m, next day at the same place it shows -25 m, sometimes 55 m, does anybody have same? and how did you solve?

Having tried altimeters in a variety of watches and living at 5200+ foot elevation, I have concluded that it's the technology that's just not 100%. I could be wrong, but I find them all to be within 20'-30' feet of a marked altitude, especially when I'm up in the Rocky Mountains (with max easily accessible elevation of over 11,000')

The Altimeter on all Casio watches is a gimmick, please don't use it under any circumstances. Only the Compass, Barometer and Temperature sensors are reliable.
Can I change the temperature to Celsius???

Yes. Detailed in the user guide and the online manual.
Mine is brand new and is one hour behind. Can anyone tell me how to correct that? Thanks!

Sounds like you're either in the wrong timezone or it should be in DST and isn't (or similar). The tiny, highly folded document included with your watch should explain how to change that!
What’s the lug width?

Something you can ascertain either on the Casio Pro Trek site or from their customer service.

It's 23mm on all models, including the newer PRG-340SC series (I have both types, PRG-340-3 and PRG-340SC-5)
On my wrist it looks like baby version, too small comparing to gwg 1000

That is a huge watch though, hah. I have a GG-B100 and wonder if I'd have the same issue as you.
That's not what the rotating dial is for.

Lucky there are thousands of different watch styles out there so you can find one you like too. Are you more into analog than digital?
