    I just wish the noise had a volume or a dry/wet control. It'd be much more usefull.

    Great demo! Do you have the bare cz-waveforms as uncompressed .wav ? It might be fun to play with though this never can recreate a real cz-synth at all. The resonant waveforms of the casio sound very unique.

    I have them somewhere, I'll dig them out for you. I got a lot of mileage using them in an Emu ESI-4000, lovely filters and detuning on that.

    Can U pleas describe how to do this from scratch without Using a preset? Tried an empty bank (D5) but cant get the results U do. Only get non-fading tones when trying to put everything to zero (except the "AMP" ). And yes... TOTALLY new at this. Want to learn how to totally build up complex sounds my self. ;)

    Hi, and put "Line select" to "1" this way you will only hear the sound of just one line (or oscillator) In the Waveform (see my video) make sure you just have a waveform in "First" this means "Second" should read "0" I think it would be wise to watch through again and then get your synth set up and try and copy exactly what I have on screen. Remember- if you dont want the sound to fade or the filter to change you need to make sure you use the red "Initialize" button on the the "Envelope" settings have a "Sustain" selected (look at the synth screen ) or better still the manual !! Good Luck. Paddy C

    Are these from a CZ101 ? They say that the sound of a CZ101 is better even than a CZ5000 or a CZ1, tho' this sounds incredible to me. Which is Your opinion? Thanks, also for the video.

    All the Casio synths of CZ series are built upon NEC uPD933D LSI chip and equipped with the same sets of wave forms so in terms of sound generator they sound identical. The only difference between the models is that some of them such as CZ-1 and CZ-5000 have a BBD chorus circuitry built in whereas CZ-101 doesn't. Not long ago I've picked up a CZ-101 with broken keyboard decoder for just $50 and got it fixed for another $1.5. I also built a replica of Juno 6/106/MKS70 chorus effect so I can run my CZ-101 through it. But this is not the thing. I keep the CZ-101 just for the purpose of generating bass lines. That's where it really shines. Here are some examples where a bass line is created with CZ-101: kzread.info/dash/bejne/loJsx5ubYrK0aNY.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/oHxqm6ukoK-XXc4.html The presets are based upon wave form No.3

    This is going to sound dumb but because it is digital, I don’t have to worry about tuning in anyway, correct?

    Creating a preset with parameters set as they don't affect the sound. A little boring but possible.... Read the useful answer given to Tobias Johansson.

    Hi, how to produce sine like sounds or dreamy pads with those waveforms?

  • @paddyc3301

    @paddyc3301

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi, Some of the sounds are based on a Sine wave or "Double Sine" But the wave forms can be quite bright until you start using the Digital Waveform controls(works like a digital filter) the more you apply then the closer you get to a simpler Sine type of wave. To get the Dreamy effect. Use more than two waveforms. detune, use chorus ans long envelope settings so the sound evolves over time. Good Luck. To start from the beginning: use the initialize setting and the just concentrate on 1 sound(waveform) until you learn how it works. You can learn a lot by camparing what is happening in one of your favourite Presets. But Playing someones own Presets is NOT the way to learn Synthesis !! You need to spend time on it
