    I ordered mine last autumn and I love it. Even my nieces love my keyboard. They love to play with it when they come over. I’m sort of teaching them how to play. My favorite instrument has to be the electric piano number one that sounds like the 1970s piano from back in the day. And of course, I love some of the organs on there too.

    Another fine overview of a rival to Yamahas psr ew/ e lineup. Grand piano sounds like a keeper,now if Casio will stretch the chassis to 76 keys to accommodate that grand and add some features like DJ grooves and a sampling capability they'll get my vote and my greenbacks.

    Aftertouch? I noticed you were playing articulations with your fingers on the keys like a guitarist would for vibrato. Are the speakers any improvement, do they sound at least as good as a pair of Eris3.5 Near Fields? Since this is the same price as a WK7600 why would anyone buy a 7600 except for 76 keys? ; But they are still be sold for the same price.

  • @sweetwater

    @sweetwater

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi, Matt! Thanks for your interest. Either one of these instruments would be a great choice for playing at home. The CTX line actually has more sounds to choose from, but the EK-50 gives you more real-time control over the sounds - it's got a joystick for pitch bend and modulation, and the auto-accompaniment features are more advanced. So if it's important to you to have a keyboard that will accompany you with bass, drums, etc. - I would go with the Korg. If not, you can save some money by going for the Casio CT-X3000. Hope this helps, and feel free to reach out to me directly if you have more questions! Caleb Lowrey, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1620, caleb_lowrey@sweetwater.com

    Sayantan Sinha , I use both the PSR 463 & a CT-X 5000 I have just bought for tuition .Trust me, their is no comparison, the PRS 463 is basically just a home K/B while the CT-X has many Pro features & I have actually started to take it to a few gigs in preference to my PX 560 & BK 7m . I would never dream of using the PSR 463 on a serious gig . My Band are knocked out with the sounds & it 'amps' up so well . Another big plus for me on tuition is that the CT-X 5000 will recognise 'On bass chords' ( essential for Grades 6-8) while the PSR 463 ( & several Yamaha models above it !) will not .

I had to record my own drum tracks for the rhythms I customized for gigging. Having said that, a gigable keyboard for NZ$599 it's a friggin deal. Initial touch. No after touch. Do you know the difference? Aftertouch is only on serious instruments. The cheapest instrument with aftertoch is probably the Korg Pa 1000. This is five times more expensive than this Casio CT X 5000.

    Indeed, there is no aftertouch. People are confusing aftertouch with velocity sensitivity, which almost every keyboard has nowadays and is very inexpensive to implement (unlike aftertouch).

    The no (conventional) Midi sockets is a Ball ache but unfortunately it's not only Casio doing this. If the USB Midi connected to the USB Midi on either my Roland BK7m or Casio PX 560 I could understand it but this current nonsense leaves us with no simple way to perform a MUSICAL "INSTRUMENT"??? DIGITAL INTERFACE. Casio/Yamaha etc. SORT IT OUT!!!

    But it has USB port that you can connect to your DAW right? What they are phasing out is just the MIDI port but the functionality that you are looking for is still there..

    There is a difference between the two keyboards. For starters, the CT-X3000 doesn't have a modulation button that the CT-X5000 has. The CT-X3000 runs on batteries while the CT-X5000 doesn't because of its powerful 30 watt speaker. The CT-X3000 has a category button, but it's located on the bottom of the LCD screen in which you have to tap to get to the instrument category you want, while the CT-X5000 has each category on the left corner of the keyboard with its own dedicated button for quick and easy access.
