Casio CT-470 Classic Keyboard Overview and Demonstration
Музыка
Doktor Vells presents the Casio CT-470 which was on sale in the UK during the late 80's and early 90's. Featuring a 49 key keyboard with stereo speakers,, 110 rhythms, 220 sounds, tone editor, memory record and a funky demo tune. Contrary to what I say in the video the memory record function can record up to 1,250 notes.

I have the CT-670. The CT-670 and CT-470 differ only in the number of keys, with or without a pitch bend wheel, and with or without a MIDI THRU jack; the rest is exactly the same. The CT-470 was introduced as a subordinate model of the CT-670, but was discontinued when the CT-655 appeared. The list price in Japan was 56,000 yen.

Hey brother, do you have any idea how to connect the midi to the pC? I've got a midi converter to USB but when i plug in it doesnt get any output and makes a weird noise and when i play notes with midi enabled on the keyboard there is no detection of any notes being played in computer, do u have any idea how to fix this or is there a differnet way to make MIDI work on PC with this keyboard

Hi. No idea what's going on there. Are your MIDI IN and OUT connected to the correct ports? That's the only thing I can think of. It is something that I haven't tried myself but it ought to work really... Has anyone else out there got it to work...?

I personally have the CT-700 that my Dad bought in 1992. The CT-700 only has 100 sounds and 100 rhythms, I think the CT-700 is more like the CT-395. The CT-700 doesn't have tone edit but it does have touch sensitive keys. Most of sounds on these models from the early 90s are identical to be honest.

Nice one! I am unfamiliar with the 700 so I have just looked it up. I vaguely remember seeing one around somewhere, probably in the Argos or Index catalogue. Nice to have touch sensitivity, something that the 470 does not have.

Sorry, I do not know. My musical equipment is mostly hardware based. I rarely use software.

You would be very lucky to find one in its original packaging and unopened. Try looking at local second-hand markets or online auction sites. I think originally they sold in the UK for about £200 - £300.
