Casio Classwiz FX-991EX Integration Tutorial
In this video I will teach you how to do numerical integration using a Casio FX-991EX scientific calculator. I will show you how to integrate basic functions, complex functions and trig integrals.
Note that the calculator can only do definite integration and cannot do indefinite or symbolic integration.

The integral of x^3 is 100% correct as displayed in the calc. You are looking for the integral of |x^3| which is a totally different function.

I think that's besides the point. When he refers to integral it's clear he is implying the area

@@kgcolor math doesn't work with implying stuff, it works with true statements

I mean just plug in the absolute value of the function and you're done.
Integration is not always about area although we can use it to find an area. Besides, Riemann define the definite Integral by just a number by itself. What you are doing is finding the "Area under the Curve" which is an application of Integration but the actual definition of Definite Integral is it can have a positive or negative answer. Therefore, the answer on example 3 is indeed -3.75
Very useful instructions with simple, yet illustrative examples! Thanks 👍!
thanks for video. let me clarify to yung students: the integral from -2 to 1 IS correct if what you are searching for is just the integral - consider for instance the contribution in a solid of different charge densities ranging from positive to negative - . IF you need the area INSTEAD then you must calculate the absolute value by splitting the function in 2 as the video suggests but this is a PARTICULAR objective it' s not always like that

Actually if you just do the integral of the function |x^3| that works and is faster than splitting the integral in two, and taking the absolute value of the integrals.

Thanks you Your video are very helpful for me
how do we use to infinite integral

I can't find an "x" on my calculator 💔 other than the one with alpha button
you can just calculate the integral of the absolute value to find the area. press shift and lift paranthasis
Hi, I was having some trouble doing a work-set from my calculus lesson, as I was unable to figure out which keys to use. How does one do numerical integration of positive-valued functions on a Casio graphing calculator version fx-9750GII? The teacher on my video used a Texas Instruments, where the entire layout was different. I attempted to use KZread, but no one has made a video of this calculator doing these problems. A similar calculator version suggested going to Math, hitting OPTN, then CALC, and then either d/dx, or ∫dx. However, when I try to put in a problem, such as ∫(x+5),x,1,3) my calculator says "Syntax ERROR". Do you have any advice? Or videos I could watch? Thank you so much.
Good quick video, Thanks!
Hi ,I'm wondering if is any calculator in the market that can solve integrals without limits . Cheers from Australia

Can we do indefinite integration calculations using this calculator please explain

Late reply, but no, sadly not. Indefinite integration is a lot more complicated. The vast majority of calculators lack the processing power to do so. The reason why they can still do definite integration is because they divide the region into finite sequences and then approximate the area.

@@MADNESSCOMBAT10 If they do it via approximation then how do they get the exact answer?
How about indenfinite integration?🙏
x^3 is correct its the area that you calculated
I hoped this (classwiz fx 991 ex plus) can do multiple variable integral and changing the integral variable(dy instead of dx) also. but sadly its possible even in this
Watched this video after wasting 1hour with cal , i had used degree instead of radian
Thanks
Why my Calculator does not have the integration button 💀
Thank u
