    Sounds like the casinos don't really know what to do about it so they don't do ANYTHING. The only real way to view it is how much you buy in for and how much your first bet is.

    Great Great Topic! I appreciate the video. I didn’t know that I could ask how I was being rated. I always have tried to color up with something and tip the dealer at the end of my session. That always seemed like the pit boss would notice what I came in with and what I left with. Now because I watched this video I will also talk to them to see how I’m being rated.

    The risk (house advantage) and reward (EV) on a blackjack hand is nearly the same every hand with the exceptions of doubling and splitting, side bets and game rule variations. So the comp is calculated on a percentage of the house advantage per hour. In Craps, each type of bet has different house advantage, so calculating the house advantage and the corresponding comps is complicated. And in the case of odds bets, they will be ignored because they have no house advantage.

    I found this interesting. When I asked how they calculate at the craps table in a couple of casinos is Tunica, MS. At each casino said that at table games, across the board, they check you in and 1st, you get different rating points depending on the table minimum, and those points are all calculated by the amount of time you spend at the table and not by your individual bet amounts.

  • @ColorUp

    @ColorUp

    4 жыл бұрын

    Table minimum X time, seems easy way to do it, but that doesn't seem very fair either. One guy makes minimum bets on every other shooter, and one big bets on everyone and would be rated same? Seems like issue too, no wonder there isn't a perfect way to accurately rate.

    If that's how they calculate comps, go to a different casino. If you have 4 bets going consistently for 4 hours, you can either add the bets together or multiply the time by the number of bets. I've been comped well for craps and comped poorly. It should always be a function of the house edge on total wagers. 20% of the houses expectation or in case of large losses; a loss rebate (i.e 1000+ loss in a session, that should get you a couple nights hotel; they know they'll get more action off you.) I prefer casinos that give you a coupon a week to get you in the door, free food and hotel for sufficient action and some cash comps (I use those if I'm down in a session.)

    We typically stay at Four Queens but I do a lot of my playing at The Freemont because the Pit boss and dealers are so friendly. The pit boss remembers my name from day to day. One morning I was playing at Freemont and the pit boss struck up a conversation. I was telling him that my husband and I don’t gamble together because we are each other’s Kryptonite. I happened to be on a heater and I saw my husband walk into the Freemont. I pointed out my husband to the pit boss, he went over and asked him to leave. At first my Hausa and was about to get upset but he saw me at the table and just turned around and left. I laughed so hard! Later on, we were walking thru the casino, the pit boss saw us and asked if he needed to clear a space for me and escort the gentleman out. We had so much fun that day and laughed harder than we had in awhile. Stuff like that is what brings us back to play. I could care less about the comps but they are nice when you get a free weekend stay. 😊

The prices have doubled on food and room rates, was not getting rated properly (by old standards) everything smells like weed and stinky socks, bums all over the strip. I found cruise ships are the bomb I live in Miami 20 minute drive to the boat, only 1 table but I know all the dealers, the play (odds) are a little different but I haven't paid for food or a cruise in a year it is all comps and even get free play.

    Most casinos hide from you the amount of comps you've earned. Other casinos put your comp total on the kiosks & let you print out comps at the Kiosks. Stop gambling at the casinos that aren't transparent & don't allow self comping. You earned the comps you shouldn't have to ask anyone for your comps. This will make your gambling experiences far better in the future.

    Used to be in Vegas if you bet $100/hand you got the Vip treatment and good comps. Now $100/hand is Nothing. At Casino's like Aria & Wynn Encore people are betting from $500/hand to $1K chips and even $5K chips every hand. If you play for Hours then $25/hand will get you comps. Many of the big casino's on the strip in Vegas don't rate players unless they are betting $25/hand or more.

    Casino's give most comps to new players as Marketing department loves new players. When you use your players card for first time, you don't want to bet $5-10/hand. Ideally you want to play $100/hand but if that is too much then $25/hand or more. I did just 1 bet of $50 at Venetian as my first time with players card and they started sending me room offers for $79/night but no free rooms. Later i played 8 Hours at Palazzo on the $100 Baccarat tables and i got Nothing at all. Mostly i kept moving around tables every 10 minutes & i heard if you do that many Floor people won't even put you in the system or no rated play. I understand that if you are betting $5 or 10/hand but at $100/hand even 1 minute should be tracked on players card.

Got free rooms at all the MGM & Caesar's properties Except for Aria and Caesar's Palace. Palms Casino had 6 months of room comps with No Resort Fees or Tax, just $0 and that was the Best ! Wynn Encore was also $0 but you have to Waive the Wifi and not use the Gym for no resort fees.

    At my local casino most of the Pit Bosses hate me because I usually do not bet on others except for the player before me so I can roll the dice. I make my money consistently rolling the dice. I usually take 3 inside number hits and pull my bets. I usually make anywhere between $200 - $300 per session. Yes I always tip my dealers. I only receive an average of 1 - 12 credits for comps. I really do not care about comps. Comps are for losers. If you want lots of comps play slots. Good luck to everyone.

    The comp rating in craps is horrible because you can actually come away a winner if you know what you are doin, you don’t play craps for comps you play craps to come away with profit to take home and to earn money to play at comp friendly games such as BJ/ roulette/ and 5$ and up slot machines I make my money in a session or two at craps, then pocket some profit and take remaining profit and play roulette to earn comps if I win at roulette great I usually count it as a loss off the fit go though being that every other game besides craps in a casino is rigged, For example I come away 1000$ profit from craps I will pocket 6-7 hundred then take remaining to roulette and martingale r/b or a row or a set of 7 numbers
