I've been thinking a lot about how I used to live my life and do nothing but spend, spend, spend! I used to be so damn irresponsible with my money. At 20 years old (2015), I was involved in a stupid car accident that left me without a vehicle. I went out and bought a brand new SUV for over 42k!! What the heck was I even thinking? I deeply regretted my purchase a few months later. I knew nothing about budgeting, so why on earth did I think that I needed a brand new vehicle at that price? Ugh. I hustled as hard as I could and managed to pay off the entire vehicle loan in 9 short months in total!! I told myself that I would never EVER buy a brand new or a new-to-me vehicle again unless I had the cash to pay for it! I have come such a long way!! I have been working since I was 14 years old, (but I also had a paper route from age 9 to age 14, too). I realized one day that I really don't want to work forever, but the way I was spending money... I wouldn't have a choice in the matter. I wanted to have the choice to live life differently... but I knew that I would have to really work for it. Even though I started working and saving money at such a young age, I knew I needed to change my bad spending habits because that was preventing me from being able to save consistently! Over the years, it's been a work in progress! The hard work doesn't stop, but it definitely gets easier to stick to a budget the longer you do it! I am living proof that anyone can do this! You have to want it badly enough, and you need a feasible plan of action that you can follow to get you there! Small steps forward and good choices will put you in the right direction. You are in charge of where your life will go! It's never too late to decide that you want better for yourself! You absolutely do deserve it!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
